If so, FT would be the first male in history to get pregnant.

Not unlimited time off, but there should be mandated full pay for new parents that is more than 0 weeks.

Paid? No. Unlimited unpaid? No.
I would be in favor of up to a year. You will have a job, not necessarily the job you currently have though.
3-6 months off (After maternity pay) and you get your old job back.
The bond between mother and child is important.

That’s not true. There are currently plenty of “men” that have gotten pregnant.

I'd rather identify as an older man so I can retire and get full benefits.

Good companies that take care of their employees should offer more substantial maternity and paternity leave options.

I was being facetious.

Hey as long as they're working that's great, have a dozen kids and pretend they're donuts for all I care. Whatever.

Does that living wage include the cost of raising the child too? Would you restrict how the money can be used? If the partner makes $1M a year, does the family still get the benefit?

3.7 million births in 2021. Even if you assume a living wage of just $75k, that’s $278B to pay out. Sounds like a genius idea.

I was the last person in my department NOT to be offered paternity leave - and I lived to tell.
