Not unlimited time off, but there should be mandated full pay for new parents that is more than 0 weeks.

Paid? No. Unlimited unpaid? No.
I would be in favor of up to a year. You will have a job, not necessarily the job you currently have though.
3-6 months off (After maternity pay) and you get your old job back.
The bond between mother and child is important.

That’s not true. There are currently plenty of “men” that have gotten pregnant.

3.7 million births in 2021. Even if you assume a living wage of just $75k, that’s $278B to pay out. Sounds like a genius idea.
