If you have any of the buybacks handy, the backs of those are so much brighter than 2024. Not sure why they muddied up the backs as much as they did.

Prices of cases seem to be dropping. Some recent sales on ebay are under 1k. How's the singles market. Haven't been keeping track since I didn't get much of heritage.

The singles market is fantastic but I can't keep up. Between sorting sets (especially with the collation issues), and shipping, it's really hard to get everything listed that I want to list. I've got at least another 300 items that need to go up when I have time to photograph and list.

I've been tracking Terapeak sales for comps and there's been over 400 sales this morning alone and it's already 5 days past release. I hope the volume stays like that for a few more days before it inevitably slows down.

The nice thing about Heritage is that the buying lasts longer than a lot of releases. Over the first couple of weeks, folks are ripping boxes, putting sets together, etc... then they figure out what holes they need to fill and buy that stuff. That's why I never really feel like it's a must to get the sp's(low #'s this year) listed right away.

The good news with sets, is if you actually do get these listed they will sell fast, there are very few listed.

Considering it takes more than a case to complete the SP portion of the set, even with perfect collation. It's been rough for the set builders this year.

To add on to those difficulties, it sounds like some of the base cards are unintentional SP's. From Brentandbecca on Twitter:

I’ve spoken to 3 other breakers who did 9-15 hobby cases. Plus read a post on BO.

It seems the last card of the pack is the only place where a group of 55 cards exists for many hobby cases.

People are getting 0-2 copies of those per case only.

Same spot as extra flip stocks

I have busted a sealed case and 10 additional boxes. I am still 7 short on the sp's and missing one from each of the insert sets.

Fanatics/Topps does not care about the collector or set builder. They have zero incentive to make it easy. The only incentive they have is to make you have to keep buying the product to get what you need to complete a set.

That’s so strange - my case had 95 SPs (no dupes). I was actually amazed

It's one of those products I decide later on to start building, after the price dips, and then I wonder what the hell I was thinking after a box or two, even though I know I'm going to be short on the 400 card base set and well short on the SPs and Inserts.

I think I'm going to show some constraint and refrain this year. I usually have the willpower to treat Heritage and High Number as two separate sets. And I'll settle on Heritage Minors, assuming it still comes out.

I bought 3 last night in case I needed them and was shocked how few were listed, but it's sounding more and more like this was a widescale issue. Only question now is where did those 55 players end up? Is there a retail SKU somewhere that is loaded with those guys, or are they all truly SP?

I lucked out a little bit on my first case sort as I was only 6 cards short of a third set but when you hear about cases with 0 or 1 of some players, that hurts. I guess if you want to put a positive spin on it, none of the big rookies are SP so there will be plenty of leftovers to sell!

I cant think of any other time a company got called out by a player for screwing up except in this case, the company was told before release that they screwed up.
