I promise to do that. I got Matt at The Fantastic Store break them for me. I only showed the hits but be assured I’ll show off all the cards when I get them. It’ll be on Tuesday since I’ll be away for the whole weekend.

Indeed, no way you will make more than 15k on those cards and that’s really sad because he probably beat the odds.

Purchased Padres in three case breaks so I’ll let you all know what happened but after seeing some breaks on YouTube my hopes aren’t too great.

That’s true. I was very happy to pull a certain big card for my PC
Not too worried about redemptions - Topps usually get that resolved in a month or two…

I remember having Matt pull me a certain Yankees 2023 (or 2022 - I will check) Sterling redemption. It got fulfilled in 2 months… Can’t really let myself sell it.

That six auto card may not ever get produced and you may get a substitute.

Hope you’re right but books tend to take forever.

From that Layton break posted. The pulled a Spencer Strider from a box marked "World Series Champions." I guess they used the technicality of him pitching 2.1 innings that regular season?

I mean, everyone who appeared in a game gets one. Just seems like a stretch for a box labeled that, just like Austin Wells in a Yankees Greats box.

I'm with you, this feels similar to the conversation in the Dynasty thread and the "technically correct" application of game used as opposed to the spirit of what you would expect.

It feels bad in premium products that the edges are being pushed on checklist and memerobilia.

Take a look at this checklist, which you can actually sort by team. https://cardboardglory.com/2024-topp...fo-odds-sheet/

The big problem is that the product is littered with players that are sort of in between The Hank Aaron, Mickey Mantle, Ted Williams vintage era big value guys and the current guys.

Jim Palmer, Ozzie Smith, Mark Grace, and Bobby Mercer, are not going to return more than $50-$70 for you at best.

at $500 a pop? the math just doesn't add up. a lot of grenades in the product!

I’m a big Sterling fan. I try to buy a case each year as I’ve had really good luck with it. That being said, Topps 100% screwed up this release this year.

I’ve watched 3 case breaks and already noticed the following issues:

- 1 case without a 1/1
- A brutal Legendary relic 1/1. Looked like any other Topps dual relic you can pull from countless cheaper products. Big downgrade from what you normally get with Sterling 1/1 relics.
- Jasson Dominguez in a “Yankees Greats” box… a Great already? Yikes…
- Pete Crow Armstrong in a “Stat Leaders” box… what stat is he a leader in? He’s played 12 MLB games…
- George Brett in a “500 Homerun Club” box with his career 317 home runs

I ordered a case direct from Topps yesterday and I’m highly regretting it for the first time ever. The product appears to be a bit watered down compared to previous years and the pack out obviously got seriously messed up.
