Best shape of his life?

TD certainly becomes a launching pad when the wind blows out, as it did yesterday in the later innings. Too bad the regulars were out by then.

Yep. More so than today’s homer, his previous was especially impressive. He brought the barrel in on an inside pitch. Last year, he would’ve hit the ball lower on the bat and driven it into the ground.

But in general, he just looks more spry and athletic at the plate.

It’s only spring training, but I would feel comfortable saying that Vlad’s .474 average (18-for-38) is a positive indicator that he’s heading into the season feeling good and ready to hit.

Logofractor autos really do it for me. I only have one (a cheap Max Meyer at that), but I’m on the lookout for them.

Please tell me I made a wise decision to spend a little here.

It was either a gambler’s impulse, or a subconscious decision to grab a higher-end version of his main rookie. (Probably both.)

He certainly seemed to be seeing the ball very well. He was taking A LOT of low and away pitches and that was exciting to see.

As for your purple, like everything else, he comes out of the gate the way his ST went and you’ll wish you bought more.

Regardless of future value, I think you made the right call based on all the currant available info. It’s a nice card either way!

not gonna lie. i really like not having whatshisface in this thread. it's refreshing to see maildays and chat rooting for Vladdy.

i recently had a Transcendent auto RC sent to me. it's now the centerpiece of my Vlad PC.

I used to have a gold, three blues, a blue wave, a green, and a purple. But they got way too high during the covid boom to hold onto. I won’t ever get back to that partial rainbow, but at least I have a color PSA 10 for less than I sold any of those cards. It worked out in the end.
