We received excellent news this morning. The Government awarded the follow-on 5 year contract to our company.

5 more years of having a job.

I think the other contract is for 5 years too. I will obviously ask when they call me, but most DoD contracts are for a minimum of 5 years. Some at the intel agencies can be 10 years.

I'd rather be the PM than the limbo my boss has me in now where I'm in charge of this building, our employees, and subcontractors and do all of her work here, but I have zero people listed under me in our internal systems. Supposedly, she is going to change that if we won the new contract. I can now use the other contract as leverage to ensure she does as I know she can't afford to lose me on this one.

Thing is I admitted I misdiagnosed Ohtani but people wouldn’t let it die. That was the reason I asked for the thread to be closed. Just a simple gambling question. If you were the starting pitcher would it be easier to win a bet betting for yourself to win or for yourself to lose.

With the margin of error being so small, I would think it would be easier to lose a game by “struggling with location” or flatten it out a couple change ups. Especially as much as pitchers know about batters and tendencies.

A bad inning or two and you can get raked for enough runs and have valid excuses.

Yes I agree and it could explain a 7 run outing against the Yankees even though his team came back to win the game. Do I think Ohtani bet on himself no I don’t but anything he did in the past will now be questioned. For his sake I hope it is nothing more than bailing out his interpreter as it is the lesser of two evils.
