Default *** THE Official Los Angeles Charbaughs Thread ***

Maybe this new regime will elicit more conversation amongst the what, six chargers fans we have on here?

First off, still in a state of disbelief that the spanos family actually, wait for it, started doing the opposite of what they've done the last decade and a half with hiring coaches. I was hoping they would get Harbaugh, but wouldn't have scoffed at Mike Vrabel either, just wanted them to get someone that had previous Head Coaching experience.

Ekeler/Williams/Allen - enjoyed watching them as part of this team, specifically Allen, but I understand and expected, specifically Ekeler/Williams, to be gone. Allen does sting, was hoping he would retire a Charger, but I get and understand the direction the team is going. I will root for him in Chicago.

Mack I am glad they retained, he's probably the one I wanted them to keep the most. Bosa, wouldn't have mind if he got released or traded. Maybe someone under Harbaugh he isn't always injured, maybe they hope to get a couple good weeks out of him early then use him to trade to San Fran for some picks? (pipe dreams).

Free Agency - perfectly fine with what they have done, don't have a ton of money, just signing value guys, not expecting the moon from any of them.

Draft - No idea. OL probably is the best. Bolts have been without a useful run game since probably LT, and they have been without any resemblance of a solid defensive line in just as long. Would love to see a new harder nosed style of football from the Chargers. I don't think it will be too long before they are competitive, heck I expect them to be competitive this year, just not playoff threats, playoffs yes, a deep run? Probably not. They've got the QB, so easily the hardest part is settled.

What say you fellow six Chargers fans?

Add me as a quiet 7th lifelong fan on here! There are more of us for sure. Seems like Blowout only likes talking about Paddy Cakes or Purdy Cakes most of the time. Frankly no point in engaging when people suggest trading Herbert and baloney like that. True Chargers fans know that we finally have a new regime. Looking forward to the draft and then September.

HarBolts is a better nickname.

My wife is the Chargers fan. She has no expectations for the upcoming season.

I like the smoothness of Charbaughs. Rolls off the tongue.

Gotta go with Charbaughs over HarBolts.

Don't make me make a poll.

Give Jimmy 2 seasons and the Charbaughs will be in the thick of it.

Charbaughs or Char-brahs

Sucks that Allen is gone, but hopeful they can get a decent receiver in the draft. Harbaugh should draw some decent talent to the team. Still a long ways away until September.

I'm really looking forward to the draft too, as much as it would be great to get one of the top WR's, I would rather they trade back and get picks. I wonder if Minnesota at #11 (can't remember if that's their highest position) would trade their two 1's and maybe next years 1 for to move up. That would be enticing.

Count me in as another Chargers diehard since I found them at age 8 in '81! I am still in disbelief that the Spanos clan went for it. I'm hoping for the culture change this franchise has long needed. They don't just need to build a good team, they need to build a legit franchise. Harbaugh's hire can be the beginning of that. Let's build a winning mindset first and foremost!

When I see Charbaughs, I read it in Arnold's voice 'get to the Chawpah'!
But plural

Or how about selling the team and building their own stadium here in San Diego.

Yeah that would be great. Would love them to go back to San Diego, but I don't think I'll see that in my lifetime.

They could actually play at Petco Park a few years before building a new stadium. They play the Holiday Bowl game at Petco now.

So Harbaugh is putting the players ranking coming out of high school on a nameplate above their locker in the locker room.

Does he realize this isn’t college anymore?

I'm fine with this, possibly showing many of them with how far they have come, and for those that were highly ranked out of high school and are getting outplayed by those unranked, that maybe it motivates them to up their effort/level.

Maybe it has none of those effects, I could care less, this is the most hopeful coaching staff we have had in almost two decades, they can do whatever they want.

Thinking I want the Bolts to take Joe Alt, then a WR early in Rd 2. Would be ideal if a scenario sets up where they can trade back a couple spots get a few picks AND get Alt.

Time to dust off this ol' vinyl record.

Good first win in a game we would have lost last year, that's going to be a popular talking piece by EVERYONE, but it's probably a true statement.

Joe Alt, great first start, really would love to see this o-line become consistent Top 5 in the league, so no matter who is back their at RB we have a reliable run game. JK has an injury history, so can't exactly expect a full season from him, but we'll see.

Want to see this defense against a more potent offense to see what its really capable of. Not a bad first start. Let's see how they handle a poor Carolina team.

Not hearing anybody talk about stealing signs, but once again the trenches were dominated by a Harbaugh team. The Chargers will be a gritty team that will decide game at the line of scrimmage with old school running.
