Or, the easier solution, when you remember to do it (haha) when posting an ebay link here on the forum, you have to take the "https://www." out of the link. E.g. ebay.com/itm/235470059493. Then the link works fine.
Thanks! I can see the listing now. Pretty good fake. As someone else on here said already, I wouldn't buy any unauthenticated Ohtani autographs at this point in time. Plenty of scammers trying to capitalize on the current hype.

Did you hit up any local card shops out there?

I am going to be on here in 20 years and Trueblue's Shohei Ohtani Jr. card collection is still going to be superior to mine!

Mamiko Tanaka cards are suddenly selling like crazy. I like that Ohtani called her a "normal Japanese woman." She's also a successful athlete in her own right, lol.

I did not, but I had the wife and kid with me and I already dragged them to 3 team stores, was trying not to press my luck.

Love going to Japan. Been a lot harder to get there with family. I have a one day stopover in a few days but I've punted any foolish ideas looking for any cards or memorabilia in such a short time . Hope you enjoyed it.

I can already see Shohei II being 6'7, 230lbs, and being a professional badminton player

I'm going in June for two weeks. Going to stay in Taito City. I've never been but I'm super excited.

If you guys have any tips, I would appreciate it.

Don't think you missed out on much. I went to both Mint Lab locations in Tokyo, which are apparently the best card shops in Japan. I was pretty underwhelmed. Everything was expensive, but I did pick up a couple of BBM baseball packs and pulled a Roki Sasaki base card. Sports cards are not nearly as big in Japan as they are in the States. TCG is huge there, though.

Didn't bother to read till now but the last two things on her q&a bio:

Something you can brag about: My brother is a professional rugby player.

What is your dream: To be a mom.

She also voluntarily retired from J pro basketball last year. Since they've been dating for a "few years" I'm sure you can see where this is heading. Really hope this kid(s) isnt the next Bronny or Marcus.

Very happy Sho didn't opt for the typical IG augmented alien.

My wife's initial reaction with no details: 1) she's a hot blonde, 2) she's pregnant.

I can live with one for two.

If you don't know the language, learn as much Japanese as possible before you go. One of my biggest regrets. You won't be completely lost if you only know English, but the people there will greatly appreciate any effort you make to learn their language. Respect is everything there. Also, get a Pasmo Passport IC card.
