Star Rookies basically sold out overnight and everything is 1.5x the price it was before the weekend. I think this set is being crazy slept on. The addition of parallels actually make this set collectible. Last year was with a weak rookie class (first year of parallels) or before that where there were no parallels, only autos every 20 boxes.

The prices the base Bedard Star rookies are getting right now make it a bit of a no-brainer - $20-25 per on ebay. So at $30ish USD, you cay pay for most of the box with the Bedard base but if you hit a parallel you are golden (and an auto even moreso)

Just looked at prices for McDavid Star Rookies - PSA 10's sell for $120-$130. So in the base of Bedard if any of the base can Gem that's also upside potential

The prices OPC are still getting are pretty crazy. Just had some auctions complete:
Base - $76 and $86
Base Retro - $141.50
OPC Premier Base - $130.50
/350 - $284
OPC Seismic Gold - $1025

I was definitely happy to get them sold before S2 releases though .. people won't have much money left after paying $1000 for his base YGs

Blue approx 12k

Hype is most important tho and Series 2 is gonna take a lot of that. I would much rather rip this set than that Series 2 tho. Singles buying ill go Series 2 for sure.

Regarding the print run of Star Rookie boxes.
I saw a 20 box case opened and 5 golds were hit. If every case has 5 golds that would put the print run at 35,000 boxes.

Might seem like a high number, but that would only be 35,000 bedard rookie base of this.
That would be about enough to give everyone a card at say opening day of a White Sox game. Thats pretty limited.

Of course my math could be wrong. And also there may not be 5 gold per case.

Bad math. 25 player checklist with 429 parallels per player (not counting blues) = 10,725 total gold, red, green parallels. Which would put the print run at about 22k of total boxes (give or take).

Average Case based on odds - 9 #ed parallels per case (gold, red, black), 1 auto & 10 blue parallels per case

Base print run = # of boxes, Blue Parallel Print run = 11,920ish, Autos approx = 50-55 per Player. They have Bedard, Leo & Cooley autos listed as SP, so I imagine there are some lesser of those guys.

The upper right edge is the same place where many of series 1 issues were. PSA 10’s will get a big premium at a 25-30% gem rate.

Only 22k base eh lol Try again, watched the math one night and rough estimates minimum 40k+-60k+ and perhaps more.
