One thing that's fun is seeing cards you added to the box get taken out a bunch of people later. Always cool to see people enjoying stuff you like too, but thought it would be fun to give to someone else.

Default box o stuff giveaway

Box is in my possession. I can’t wait to go through it, and will update with photos when I’m finished!

Edit:

Wow! That was fun to look through! Here is what I pulled out for my PC.

Chipper is my PC, so I was happy to come across an insert. I graduated from Auburn, so I had to get the Mize sapphire. The rest are just cards that I thought were cool as I was passing through.

I did also snag a handful of base and super low end inserts to clear out some space. I will use those for my “Cards in the Classroom” initiative, as they are stoked to get any cards.

Also not pictured are Austin Riley and Spencer Strider base rookies that my son snagged.

I tried to leave it better than I found it by only adding autos, GU, and numbered parallels in place of the base that isn’t pictured.

Thank y’all for the chance to dig through it. I’ll PM next in line, which I believe is JimV.

Hunter,

Much appreciated. PM’d you my address.

I look forward to leaving some vintage in the box.

I’ll turn it over quickly once received.

Who is after me?

So, I was going to “refresh” the box after six people had gone through it since mmbtvs refresh of the box.

So far we have had 4 since then and these two are next.

1) JimV
2) cardtrader22

That would put us at 6 with no one else in line. Not sure if it is time for me to refresh at that point or not. Let me know what it looks like and we will see if it’s time or not.

I am also going to start keeping track of the order of people who want in on this so we stop having to ask who is next. I will post an updated list of the order periodically so we can always know who is next and keep this thread a little more smoothly running.

Haven't had the box in a while. Would be interested in being in line for it. My kids and I have some new stuff set aside that I can put in as well!

The box is pretty full. To put stuff in, things really need to come out at the same time right now. You could start a second box and send it somewhere. We've had multiple boxes going at a time in the past.

This is mmbtvs’ show so I would go off what he says, but I see two possible answers to this:

1) do as mmbtvs states and maybe start a second box if you have enough for a medium flat rate box. This was fun to have two boxes going for a while.

2) send the stuff you want to add to someone else (mmbtvs, cardtrader22, and myself have cleaned up the box a few times. It’s normally when I take it is solely to clean it up). We could then use these cards to add into the box. I know I keep a small box with stuff to add to this, so I am always ready to recharge it. Personally I wait until I have a 700 count box almost full and then recharge the box. I am already pretty set to do that, but could always hold onto these to use for later recharges.

3) just have fun and take your turn with the box! Maybe you won’t find anything for yourself, but you never know. It is a lot of fun to go through, and for the price of shipping, it’s cheaper than buying a blaster, and way more fun!

1000%. We have followed Corbin’s lead here and we have chipped in keeping the box moving, cleaning/refreshing when it was needed, etc. The two boxes were going for a little while until that 2nd one ended up becoming a base factory when we merged it back into one box.

My son and I do the same. We keep a side box of everything that’s not PC when we do open up some wax to recharge the box and try to let it move around a little bit before picking it back up and recharging it and getting it onto the next stop.

I’m still so engaged in this thread and love seeing what everyone pulls from it. So amazing that this has been going as long as it has! May be the longest I’ve ever seen one of these in my history in the hobby.

I'd like to get back in line. I've been putting aside a bunch of cards that I think people would like. I'm focusing on:
1. Young/exciting players, especially where I have dupes (e.g., Corbin Carroll, Julio Rodriguez)
2. Good/star veterans that I think are generally collected, especially where I have dupes (e.g., Jose Ramirez, Mike Trout)
3. Limited run variations that are relatively low (e.g,, /100, /50 cards)
4. Random things that I think are fun to collect (e.g., box toppers, bobbleheads, all the one-off sets that were produced in the 90s)

Happy to use my stuff to "reload" so to speak, as I need to start paring down a bit.

Box arrived yesterday. It was full to bursting. And fun to see a real diversity of modern cards.

I picked up three cards, a Red Schoendiest Red Man from the 1950s, a Shaq IP auto, and a Plaxico Burress auto, which I will send to a friend. I also picked up a Wagner die cut reprint of the 1910 E125 American Standard Caramels, which was cool.

I will send the box on to CardTrader22 midweek after I take out some base and replace them with some vintage from 1960-1972 in baseball and basketball. Will upload pics of the stuff I add.

I don’t know why, but I really like the Red Man cards.

What the heck, put me on the list. I have a buddy in town that can go thru it with his kid while I have it. I will start pulling stuff to add to it. Lord knows I have plenty!

Box goes out to cardtrader22 in the morning.

I added some 1960-1965 topps baseball, some Beatles 1964 series 2, some 1972 topps in-action, both raw and graded, about 40 or so 1970-71 topps basketball tall boys, some stuff for the kids, and a few other things.

I cleared out some low-end inserts to make space.

That was fun. Appreciate being a part of this.

Nice, have fun with the kid!

As a reminder the order is now this:

I will be adding myself into the list somewhere. I was going to do it after 6 people, we are now at 8, so probably coming up soon.

2) mj91534
3) deadman31
4) Promethious88
