I sell on Sportlots. Set builders, team, player collectors, rookie prospectors, are my biggest customers. Lot's of spring training IP autograph seekers too. It's a good place for slow moving inventory from a sellers perspective. From a buyers perspective, shipping is usually quite reasonable.

It’s not all PWE, the last 2 orders I’ve received were one pwe and one mailer, both cards damaged due to the way they were packed.

The site is designed to try to minimize “issues”. If you have too many issues you can limit the sellers willing to sell to you.

I use to be this way until 100,000 cards piled up in 700ct boxes and it came time to move. Half of them went to the childrens hospital.

Buyers get to select their own shipping method. Budget, box, or premium. Buyers can save a lot on shipping fees with budget or box shipping. If you decide to select a budget shipping method , you have to accept the fact that you as the buyer chose to roll the dice and trust that the USPS may or may not deliver your card safely. For important cards, don’t select the cheapest shipping method.

My shipping method for budget shipping is penny sleeves, rigid or semi rigid card holder, folded between slip of paper, plain white envelope. Over six years, I have only had one card damaged where the buyer chose budget shipping for a Jersey card, despite my recommendation and personal messages. I still have him a full refund, even though he ignored my advice.

I am assuming you just slap stamps on the envelope? Are you using a service to print stamps , like stamps.com or pirateship or something?

Also, what about tracking? I mean, don't people pull the old, I never received my PWE if there is no way to track?

You get to set your shipping policies and thresholds for premium shipping. For premium I use pirate ship with tracking. Most orders are PWE. I probably average less than one lost envelope per year. I fill about 35 orders a month so approx 400 shipments per year. There are no more lost items on my sportlots sales versus my eBay sales.

Same. I average about 30 orders a month and have maybe refunded two to three a year due to non arrival. Always seems to happen at the same time of the year, end of year/start of new year when the post office slows to a crawl. I’ve also had issues with tracked orders getting held up too, so it’s not limited to PWE, pirate ship just helps to get ahead of it since you can see the shipping status on your dashboard.

100-150 orders each month, gobs of PWE and little to no problems. If someone pulls the old "I never received it" trick, then they needed the >$1 card or funds more than I did. It really is a tremendous place for buyers as I know for a fact that many sellers like myself can and do provide singles WAY cheaper than eBay or other leading marketplaces.

Appreciate you guys very much and I'm very happy it exists. I hope it continues to grow.
