Cards look awesome. I'm loving this release. Halfway through my day one blaster and saving the rest for my bday next week. So good. The Rays team photo is really fun. There's some great photography all around.

I just slow-rolled an Elly team color border in my 3rd case! Saw the Reds logo and thought "This ain't happening..." Lucked out this time. Hit a JROD Black /73 in the box before that so parallels have been great this case.

Do we think they had two different people assigned to "select base card images" and "select cooler SSP images" and they just forgot to compare notes with each other?

ha, very true. I noticed the fanatics blasters went down and back up. I don't think any shipped yet, so hard to know if they are a good bet.

The whole point of the card is designed around the picture. What other picture do you think would be suitable for "Learning mid-game"?

It looks like they actually altered the design for the vintage stock this year, which to my knowledge would be a first.

It's a fair point, but if there isn't at least one usable picture out there of them, let's say, talking to/being talked to by a coach, or in some other situation that would fit, I'd be surprised.

I have 6 jumbo cases, 5 hobby cases, 3 12/20 retail cases, and a blaster case to open. Finally sat down to the first box of the first jumbo case and I received the JRod in pack one and the Harris 1/1 patch in pack 4. I hope this is only the beginning!

Ripped a hobby case, very satisfied with it though I didn't hit anything huge. Auto names were incredible considering none were of the big 3 in the product. I'll take it!

For years I have been a big, but quiet, fan of the Topps Reverence Patch Auto cards from flagship. It is the only actual game used and on card autos that they put in flagship. It is a very high end feeling card, but comes out of the flagship brand and the odds are very hard to pull them. I've always found them to be underrated in the hobby.

This year - the patches are no longer game used and the set loses all of its appeal (at least to me) because of it. It is a shame. I know there are a few others like me out there that collect this set and I expect they feel the same way.

I don't know if they are or aren't game used. It's strange - the cards don't say game-used OR player-worn. I suspect this was a design oversight rather than an intentional change, as I'm not familiar with recent Topps relic cards that don't say one or the other (outside of manufactured relics, of course, which DO say THAT instead). And since the disclaimer on the back matches their typical game used cards, NOT their typical player worn cards, I'm definitely leaning toward these still being game used.

Also, they do still say they're game used in their marketing.
