It definitely has gotten a lot more expensive since we grew up. We only had class rings, yearbooks, Senior picnic, and Senior trip to pay for.

My Son told my wife at Walmart the other day that he was sad for this week coming up because he had no valentine. Dude is 13. The last thing he needs is a girlfriend right now.

My wife told him she could be his valentine and he rolled his eyes.

Let him borrow your VIP Platty for the week.

I had so much useless crap from Senior year. Those companies have to be making tons of money. Think about it, produce a booklet with mockups of all this stuff, send it out, then print to order. No inventory sitting around, no wasted money.

No doubt, it's a racket. I'm sure someone is getting something for picking the companies to do these things.

When I graduated in 2003, one option was a beer mug with everybody's name on it. A beer mug, promoted to high school seniors, who were all underage. The ad even said beer mug.

Non-stop rain all day, with storms moving in this afternoon. Today is going to suck. Some roads are already closed off due to flooding.

I hope you do $$$cash$$$

I didn't watch any of it either. I got home from work about 9 and put on the golf replay. I figured they would condense the coverage of the replay. Nope. It was on until 3 this morning. I did eat and work on cards until then. Didn't even know the final score until around midnight.

That is headed this way with rain and then snow. Depends on the change if we get an inch or more than that.

When I graduated in the 80's all we had was the yearbook and Grad Nite (at Disney). I think there may have been a cruise or something else stupid like that, but that was it. Grad Nite (the last time I was at Disney) was crazy in that they shut the park down for regular people early then opened it up for thousands of teenagers and was open until 3 or 4 in the morning. They spread this out over 2 or 3 weekends so you didn't have severe overcrowding. They had live bands playing in different venues throughout the park (nobody memorable). I recall having to go to work right when we got back.

I just saw a Youtube ad for a battery company who said they added a bitter taste to the outside of the battery to discourage them being swallowed. WTF is wrong with the world? We have to make batteries taste bad so people don't eat them

Pay for a "girlfriend experience" for him with all the extra cash you have laying around.

What is this insanity? Class picnics and trips?

My graduating class got banned from most field trips after 7th grade when people broke bottles of grape juice on the steps of the Biltmore House. We did get to Hunting Island State Park on a day trip with a marine biology class, but somebody caught a small shark, kept it in a cooler on the way back, then put it in the gym in a tank when we got back.

If the herd wants to thin themselves at their own free will I've got no problem with that!

I’ve been on a stinky old dud streak in the card department. Nothing good for quite some time.

Go raid Boo's closet or Spuds' tubs...I'm sure you'll find some goodies.

Well if you are going to sink that low might as well browse Glen's Thomas the Train and My Little Pony COMC selection...

Stop buying retail crap NN. You know the odds of getting something good are the same as the odds of Glen eating a vegetable.
