Default Orange Laser “Prizm” vs no “Prizm”

I pulled 2 orange laser Prizm cards of the same player. Any reason why one says “Prizm” at the top of the back & the other doesn’t? TIA!

Pics? Try imgur.com if you're not familiar with uploading pics.

That's actually pretty interesting, I haven't noticed one before. I don't have any Lazers, but am busting a case for the SB so I'll keep an eye out and let you know if any are missing the Prizm designation. It's possible it was just a one off printing error, but maybe not. I checked all the discos I had laying around and all had Prizm designations.

Yeah, I checked my other parallels and they all had Prizm printed on the back. Please let me know what you find in your packs.

That is probably inconsequential in terms of card value, but I agree that it is interesting. I would not be surprised if the printing plate of a particular player's parallel or parallels was/were missing due to an oversight. That would mean that particular player or parallel or whatever would be missing the label across the board. But for the same parallel of the same player to have the label on some cards but not others? It is tougher for me to wrap my head around how that happens without more knowledge of the printing industry.

Maybe it's worth some as an error?

Maybe it's yet another parallel!

Panini finally gets creative in making a legitimately rare and unannounced "prizmless" parallel right as it's circling the drain.

Feels like a printing error. Good pickup.

They're just trying to even out all of the insert cards over the past couple of years that say "Prizm" on the back, but are not actually Prizm cards. QA can't be that hard, can it?
