Hope The Brock Man had another good week of studying.

I’m sure he did, his parents wouldn’t let him stay out late.

Plenty of time in the offseason for that. We got to take this trophy first.

Coaches & owners have no problem with game managing QBS that bring them Super Bowl appearances. Teams will be looking for the 'Next Brock Purdy' to play the same kind of games for them (hint, his name is Bo Nix)

Looking at Purdy auto prices finishing on EBay last couple days, they seem to have sold for a little less- which is odd because the game has not happened yet, and he's a win away from having won a SB. Pretty odd. I suspect that will get a boost again if he wins, hope he does

Saw that as well. Seems like 3/4 of the media is predicting a Chiefs win. I guess buyers feel the same way.

Is this based on Mahomes experience winning SB's? Because the 49ers are objectively the better team.

Tom Brady was more of a "game manager" his first 4 seasons than Purdy is right now.

no, you can't say that.

that's a big no no. i tell you this, because I've said it, and i was blasted by Pats and Brady fans...and i'm a fan of Brady, which i stated clearly before i posted that.

I think it's based on KC rolling into Baltimore/Buffalo and winning. Versus SF getting smoked by Baltimore at the end of the regular season and barely squeaking out wins at home against Detroit and GB.

If the game comes down to talent, there is no competition- 49ers have the edge

RB- is not a competition, CMC is superior in all facets to Pacheco although he's done a good job overall for KC

QB-Lets say Mahomes has the edge- he's been there before, he's won. But the overall weapons Purdy has vs the overall weapons Mahomes has are not equal

TE- Kelce is a HOF TE no question but this season was not his best. He vanished in some games, and Kittle is right there behind him for 2nd TE spot in the NFL

WR- This is what is going to be the difference maker perhaps because where the 49ers have 2 really good WRs both capable of making big plays, and moving the chains, KC has Rice and......who???

Def- On paper, 49ers D has more big names but has not played to that and KC has done a great job this year

Should be a close, good game, but move over Patrick, Brock gets his 1st ring

Mahomes has the edge here, that's not really up for debate. And the Chiefs' defensive coaching is better than the Niners defensive coaching (Spags track record better than Wilks).

The key, I think, is can the Niners front 4 keep Mahomes scrambling and uncomfortable consistently without letting him scramble for first downs. If they can't do that, they'll be in trouble.

Not saying the Chiefs won't win - but It's not like KC smoked either Buffalo or Baltimore.

Like the Lions I think Buffalo and Baltimore gave those games away with bad choices in the clutch.

But the Chiefs didn't need to smoke them for the narrative to be where it's at. They beat the two best AFC teams on the road and that's enough for public and hobby perception. Also, Mahomes.

For sure, the "narrative" is the narrative.

I just meant, in reality, neither team rolled anyone and if the ball bounces a different way for either, or coaches makes better choices we could be watching Detroit/Baltimore.

And yeah, Mahomes is the X factor. That's just a thing. He's got the hardware.

Buyers are pricing in a possible loss and offseason correction.

Win or lose, time to buy will be the offseason.

After careful reflection, I think 49ers win. And I don't think it will be especially close. If wrong, don't blame the messenger.

the narrative that KC went into Baltimore and spanked them is incorrect in my opinion. the offense had a good first half, but got shutout in the second half. If SF plays a good game defensively, they will give KC a hard time. Thuney has also been declared inactive for the game

hope he wins mvp tonight this thread would be worth the small sacrifice for years probably.

In Brock we trust! Just dink and dunk to cmc and Kittle. Don’t try to do too much.

Not even going to hedge my bets.

I think Patty cakewalks Purdy. Also, I hate the Niners. I could say "good luck," but I wouldn't mean it.

Chalk me up as a hater and feel free to quote this if they pull off the upset. I will 100% own it.

yeah i don't get it either. i don't understand the hate on Purdy and the hate on the 49ers.

they are lucky to be here, but KC rolled into the Super Bowl.

ignore the feats the 49ers accomplished in the two playoff games. ignore that they rolled off 27 unanswered points against the Lions, nope, they are luck to even be here.

and they are playing the incredible smoking hot Chiefs with Mahomes. ignore that Miami and Buffalo were ravaged by injuries on defense, or that Diggs dropped a bomb, or that KC won on a missed 43-yard field goal. ignore that Baltimore fumbled at the 1, or Lamar threw an INT into triple coverage, or that Baltimore's RBs combined for just 8 carries the entire football game. no, it's about Mahomes, Reid, Spags, Kelce, and the Swifties.

i don't get it. i'm betting if the Lions had won that game, the discourse would be very very VERY different right now.

It’ll be exciting to see who will be the bigger “game influencer” tonight. They are both great game managers and in good systems.
