This thread reminded me that I have a case of 1978 Donruss Skateboarding.

Too early for Tony Hawk, but Stacy Peralta was the reason that I picked it up years ago.

3 loose boxes and the dusty case for $100.

Just watching the Tony Hawk documentary which got me thinking about his cards. What would everyone say is his best auto card? Is there one that's commonly perceived to be 'the one to own'?

There is a 2010 Allen & Ginter 1/1 Codebreaker on ebay for $7.5K.

Not sure if he has any other 1/1's

26 but most are plates or those JSA auto cards from The Bar product. He has a couple 1/1s including an auto in the new Jack Ass movie set and a superfractor from 2014 Topps Chrome 1st pitch. His best imo would be the 2016 Upperdeck all time greats master painting auto 1/1.

Is there a 'best' one that isn't a 1/1? I'm thinking like the Tiger Woods rookie auto is considered the best general Tiger Woods card to get (or at least one of them). The regular is /900 and the gold version is /100.

May I suggest the 2004 Leaf Rookies & Stars Fans Of The Game signed card of Tony Hawk? Not his most valuable signed card but it is his first pack inserted certified autograph card. These usually sell in the $200-$300 range, a bit more for the /100 version.

Congrats! Did you pack-pull your copies? I've got quite a few sealed boxes and wondered whether anyone had recently tried to pull this card for grading.

I broke 3 boxes early in the pandemic, 7 total Tony cards
4 looked like gems to me, so I submitted those
2 PSA 9s, 1 SGC 9.5, and the 10

I thought national least 2 of the 3 I sent to psa would gem but PSA gon PSA!

I just watched the documentary and it was awesome! Takes me back to the days of watching and reading everything about skating. I was horrific at actual 'boarding though. LOL

Getting a Mat Hoffman, Andy Irons, Rob Machado and Dave Mirra are a bonus
