Has anyone had grades pop over the weekend in recent times? I’ve had a value plus order sitting at assembly forever now. The estimated completion date was Jan 12th. It was in R & ID on Dec 12th. So much for speed.

Never on a saturday but 2-3 times on a sunday night for some reason

I also have a value plus order but mine hit assembly this past Monday 1/22. So what you’re saying is not to get my hopes up and stop checking

Well my mid September value bulk submission still sits in assembly status. I am now emailing the PSA customer service rep a third time to see what is going on. I have a bad feeling that I may never see these cards.

i had a big stack of young guns i wanted to submit but when i looked very closely every one of them had some small flaw usually slight white on a corner and i pulled it from the stack. 2022-23 seemed to be the worst

Yep, the YGs in this order were a friends. The QC on UD has gone in the toilet the last couple of years. Prior to around 2021, maybe 2020, they had a really HIGH Gem rate.

i had about 4 from 2020-21 season i wanted to grade and none of them would be better than an 8 maybe 9 to my eyes so i left them out.

2022-23 was even worse i think maybe 1 of my stack was "good enough"

This order moved so fast I was completely cut off guard. All PC stuff including a rainbow, but my grades don't make sense at all. Dunno if they are testing AI or something or what, but out of the 32 modern prizm cards I graded (which I evaluate and never got below an 8 before this sub) Got 7 - 7's, 5-6's, and a 5. I am honestly kind of lost on what happened becuase when I look at the scans they have online I can't find a single thing major enough to get that low on that many cards.

I know the centering weren't great one some which I knew would probably be an 8, but now 7 and below on most of them, makes me wondering something is up with this order. I would never send in something I looked at and would have something major.

Don't know if there is much I can do but this stings a lot becuase some of these cards are all low numbered parts of my rainbow. Even if PC I don't like seeing them. Is getting them reviewed and paying again the only option I have. I would love to share the pictures and see if anyone else sees anything at this point becuase I'm at a loss for words lol

how do you guys submit super thick cards? the internets give no definitive answer.
some says thick top loader or mag ok, some say PSA doesnt accept top loaders/mags

I got top loaders that are 5x7 which have a lot of room for them to expand and not press down on the edges of the thick cards. I have seen no negative impact on them and plenty of Gems from it.

My order moved so fast I had to switch the credit card on it. No complaints on the speed.

As far as Prizm stuff goes, I've noticed a lot of that product in the last few years has roller lines and micro-scratching. The overall quality is way down since 2019. PSA has, in general, not been very kind on those blemishes. That said, this order result is somewhat contrary to the consensus of solid grades with the special. Maybe you got the GOD. My order popped well but I wonder if the grader hated football since I think the half dozen or so I had in there all got a 9.
