It’s been a week, Sunday 1/21, since paying and he said he would ship Thursday 1/24.

He’s been on Blowout 10+ years and about 2,000 posts with some prior sales.

I paid Goods Services PayPal with CC, so I think I’m safe.

Anyone buy anything for him? Does he have other contract info

Still nothing from Seller.

And to those ppl trying to shame me for negative eBay reviews… I only have two out of nearly a thousand in a year late packages, not misdescribed, no missing packages.

This seller said they received my money and hasn’t responded since the 21st.

I personally think 2 to 3 weeks is when you should start worrying.

There is really nothing worse than slow shippers though. Always quick to collect the payment then drag their feet shipping. Big pet peeve.

There are times when it's the usps not the shipper. Not all branches will scan items correctly at drop-off some won't do it at all. Some ebay items cannot be scanned when dropped off.

This is a legitimate gripe imo. Seller saying they were going to send by X date, didnt, then nothing this far out (you said Thurs 1/24...I guess you mean 1/25). The pitchforks can come out in here....but that's not good form.

If it's what Im guessing....not cheap item either, in the $600 range.

Good thing is you're right in that *if* it comes to a Paypal claim, it should be an open and shut case for a refund with no tracking number or proof of delivery.

Nobody has said there could not be an issue and it's looking like it is. It was the ops exaggerated op about it being a week when it had been like 4 days that brought out the deeper look.

Op also has not done one key element to a callout thread yet. It was too early at posting time but now if no tracking it is warranted. It can always be changed

Paid Sunday 1/21, OP posted Sat afternoon 1/27, for all intents and purposes about a week, considering no shipping the next day Sunday as well. That's not even really the issue with me. It's more the seller saying "Will ship out by X date" (if they did of course), and then not only not doing that, but then nothing. Sorry, it's bad form. I thought so when OP first posted too. People say not worried up to 3 weeks? Seems like an awfully long time to not think somethings up.

As for many of us willing to wait I think it comes from the fact many come from an Era where if you ordered something through the mail you could expect to wait 8 to 12 weeks minimum. And if you did not get it you wrmere sol.

Yeah bad form maybe but the info provided by the OP was def premature given the seller said when he was going to ship.
hindsight is 20/20 so maybe the seller is shining him on? We don't know yet.
What I do know is that the OP started a call out thread for not receiving an item 3 days after shipping was specified.

Not just digging up random FB here.
Your neutrals and negs were for late shipping, so I think it is relevant. 'Misdecscribed' would have no bearing in this case. 'Missing' (or not delivered) could very well be a USPS/carrier issue. In your own words- "I have no control of USPS."
Maybe this is the seller's first time in 1k transactions that he has ever been late. How do we know? You want the benefit of the doubt so why not give it to him as well?
Still a premature callout IMO.

Correct. No one said the buyer shouldn't have made good on the day they said they'd ship. It's easy to both see that there might be an issue at hand, and also that the buyer started a callout thread way too fast.

Two wrongs don't make a right. Even 4 year olds know that.

Wild some people on Blowout don't.

Well it's not just the 3 days since the ship date, it's based on the date of payment which was 1/21. The ship date thing is merely an issue because if a seller says 'I'll be shipping your order out by X date', then doesnt, and also doesnt communicate- it's bad form.

If the seller is "shining him on"....Im not sure what you mean by this, but also sounds like bad form.

It is now the following Tues since OP paid the previous Sunday. When should OP expect to either have his package sent or even communication?

As to the feedback with similar shipping issues- fair point in that one may find it harder to sympathize given that. However this is a separate transaction between the OP, as the buyer, and the seller....and should be evaluated on the facts of the transaction itself.
