Sadly, I do not believe the Sun Devils will be making a run at the 2024 CFP.

This schedule has 4-8 written all over it.

Alabama players hitting the re-opened transfer portal here in a bit is going to be absolutely wild.

I’m thrilled.

At the same time, I’m going to have to filter out a million vapid “Is Arch transferring” articles.

Crazy that they've got half the 2023 CFP on their 2024 schedule.

Poor guy, hope he got paid. Following a legend on top of dealing with that fan base and the expectations is an impossible task.

i don’t think the highest-level coaches think like that though. he’s had immediate and sustained success everywhere he’s coached, i don’t know anything about the man, but i’d bet that he’s confident he’s the next nick saban and can’t wait to meet the boosters…

Homest question- is Bama fan base really more demanding than AnOSU's?

They are on their own level of lunacy. Saban was able to slide a few times because of what he has done. Now imagine you have no history with them and come in and under-perform in the eyes of that fan base. He's gone in 3 years if they don't win a Championship

That's interesting. Shorter leash, then? Well what's crazy is he'll be set for life financially regardless of what happens.

Good for him. Plenty of teams need extra arms in camp

He's gonna get a chance to be 'the guy' some place, not just an 'arm in camp'
I am still out on him and didn't see enough of him to make any conclusions myself. I think he won't be an instant starter no matter what, but someone will take a shot on him rd 2
