I think it depends on how you are basing your centering. If you're using only the picture area behind the neon or the neon border, yup, off center.

But, you take the sides from the outside of the neon on the left and the outside edge of the picture area on the right side, it's centered. Top/bottom is a little off, but centered if you use bottom neon and top picture area, which doesn't make sense because the words and neon go above it.

I like this years design. Have always been in favor for more 'tech" based designs (2015 Topps, Strata, Etc.)

This! I’m fine with the design, but I’d love to see more effort put into the parallels. The 2018 Independence Day comes to mind. Gimme that.

I'm indifferent. I'll need to see them in person before I decide how I feel about them. Chrome should look great. Parallels could be awesome if they don't mess it up.

Now makes sense that we didnt see black parallel on the original odds released. Thats my favorite flagship parallel so a little bummed they probably wont have that one this year.

I am not seeing it listed on cardboard connection or beckett. Keeping fingers crossed they will have it or it was listed somewhere else

You make a good point. This design will probably work well for Chrome—which was likely their primary focus when designing.

2019 is the only design from recent years that I actually liked....the rest were all pretty "meh" for me....certainly nothing that compares with the best pre-1990 Topps designs....

2022 is my favorite starting from 2018, a simple clean design. 2024 could end up very high on my list.

I'm just gonna go on record to say I really like it. The size of the border on the Elly looked a bit much, but all the other mockups look better. Color me excited.

Think the design will work great for chrome and sapphire. Gilded is going to look real dumb.

Gilded with the same design as previous years would look dumb. But I can definitely think of ways to use this design and make it look fantastic as a gilded card. It would definitely lose the "feel" of the neon in the process, but gilded should have a different feel anyway.

I don't like to compliment Fanatics. But I do like this design.

Dig the transition from white to black on the borders.

But I always like the less traditional designs. 1990 is one of my all time favorites.

All the Fanatics comments have me a little confused. I thought they just bought Topps and are just letting Topps operate as normal. Do we know if Fanatics have any formal involvement in product design and whatnot for Topps? Or is my question itself just naive? Asking in good faith here, not trying to stir the pot or take one side or the other.

I think Fanatics has taken over more of the marketing and sales side of things.

I'm in the same boat you are, they said from the beginning they were going to let Topps keep running as normal. They kept all of the management and leadership in place. I think the only thing they did was poached some people from Panini.

The black edges don't seem to chip like they used to. I think 2019 was the last crumbly corner/edge surfaces.

Anyone crazy enough to create a PSA submission on 1/31 for the $14.99/card special, guess at what you might hit for base, and be $5 ahead on those early sales?
