I don't think people know what to do when you don't want to finance something. We paid for our roof and windows out right. They kept trying to talk us into financing because we would have qualified for 6 months no interest. We weren't saving any money doing that.

Playing WoW a lot again. I have a sub so I might as well play it. Fishing and earning lots of money on the auction house. put a lot up for sale last night before I went to bed. Got on to fish for a bit while the oldest showers and youngest is still asleep. Made 1400 gold.

That and picky are the words her own realtor described her as to my realtor. She also complained that she didn't have the HOA resale documents in hand yet. Our HOA was closed from December 18th - January 1st for Christmas. They just reopened on January 2nd and we had the resale documents yesterday.

Apparently one of the people seeing the house today wanted to put an offer in sight unseen as well. After the last lady, I know see why my realtor dissuades people from doing this without actually touring the home.

So the fire department took away the 25 points you automatically get for holding an office from my middle SD and she didn't make her points. There was no letter, no chance to discuss it with the board or present why she still deserved it. They claimed that she didn't fulfill her duties. First year they have ever started doing this as there have been tons of times when someone is sworn in as an officer and then disappears for the year. In my SD's case, she was absent a lot because of the baby, but she still fulfilled the majority of her duties which included turning over 2 people on the ambulance, training two people to drive the ambulance, and leading drills. The one duty she had, she was unable to get access as the Chief never gave it to her.

needless to say she is po'd at the firehouse.

They also took away points from a fire officer and the historian. I'm not sure what more the historian could do.

Decided to get up early to work on my dollar boxes. If I stay at least semi-focused, I will finish the baseball today and move on to either the football or basketball. If my body says to take a nap, I will listen.

I finished going through all the bags I put on my bed yesterday late last night. I actually must’ve done a better job getting most of the good cards in toploaders and magnetic holders as I didn’t find too many really high value cards. I consider anything over 25 dollars that I find in a bag high value.

I would hate to have to organize for a show every week but I think I could handle once a month, especially if I could get my wife back into collecting.

That is why I only tend to do big projects like this a couple times per year. I always add fresh inventory as it keeps the regulars coming back, but I don't have time to go through all of the cards constantly.

The fact is that after the dollar boxes are done and I get all 7 of my PAM (Priced as Marked) boxes done, I have 15-20 boxes of cards I have to alphabetize (currently sorted by sport) while pulling dollar and under cards, create new PAM boxes and see what can be sent into COMC.

It is a never ending process, though I have promised myself to stop going through other dealer's boxes (with a couple of exceptions) until I can get all of this stuff done.

it's because society is trained that debt is how you buy stuff. New car, finance it for 6-7 years and slowly pay it off. New house, 30 year mortgage. Credit card debt, student loan debt, it's idiotic. I hate paying interest on anything

My problem is organization. When we lived in an apartment I had to be organized as we didn’t have the space for me to be unorganized. Once we moved into the house and had extra room my cards are everywhere. I finally got all of them except for one tub in the back room where I sleep. We still have cards and furniture in a storage locker but I haven’t been there in awhile. Once the weather gets a little warmer we are going to go to the storage locker and see if we can empty it out as even though it’s only about 35 dollars a month it would be one less expense.
