The buying experience is all-around terrible on that site, with the UI that feels like it was intentionally designed to be as painful as possible, sellers frequently not having the cards after you order them, sellers frequently sending cards in worse condition than listed. And now you have sellers refusing to honor the prices they listed because they "mispriced" and might lose a single-digit number of dollars. Not sure why anyone continues to use it tbh.

I am a newer seller on sportlots, I do a lot of ebay and other platforms. What service are people using to print the labels for shipping standard envelope orders on sportlots?

Tracking is not expected on SportsLots, there are services that offer the same but they're more than your typical stamp and not worth it for this platform

I've briefly looked into PitneyShip and similar services but I'd have to be doing way more volume than I am for the monthly fee to make sense. I just print envelopes with Word, slap a stamp on there, and off it goes.

For bubble mailers I buy labels on Priateship, pricing's the same as ebay rates as far as I can tell.

I don't use the site much anymore. Not expecting gem mint stuff but I get way too many defective cards there. That's the gamble when you have no images or crappy ones at best. I do have mild success, albeit increasingly difficult with time, finding a bargain every now and then since the site is often overlooked in favor of eBay and COMC.

Yea, it gets frustrating. I use the site primarily to fill holes in sets I'm completing, and there's nothing more frustrating than thinking you've completed a set only to receive damaged or incorrect cards. I ordered about 20 cards from a seller for the 2022 Topps Chrome set. They sent all refractors. Which is an upgrade, but not what I need for the set.

But there isn't a great alternative for my needs. Ebay singles with shipping are usually twice as much for base cards if not more.

I received a message from a buyer that their order of ~25 cards was received, but empty (never had that happen before!). They said they called the post office and they want to know if he wants to file for missing, or should I. I want to make sure he's made whole in the end, but didn't know how best to proceed. Should he file since the package does show as delivered? Should I file in the event there is any sort of insurance? (Not sure if there would be since this was sent standard USPS Ground Advantage). Any guidance is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Ground advantage should be insured up to $100. i would ask him to file since he has the empty package as proof.

It hasn't happened often, but I'm fairly certain I had to file as the seller. My buyer emailed me picture of the opened package and the "we're sorry" baggie the USPS placed it in before delivering it to him.

Technically either party can file the claim, but it's probably easier (and better customer service, imo) for the seller to handle it.

Had a doozy this month. Bought 3 cards from a seller on 11/28 as part of a larger order, his part "shipped" 12/3, received several other PWEs on the order so I checked in on the status 12/15 and heard nothing back, today received the PWE postmarked 12/19 with a quarter inside as a refund for a card that was evidently out of stock... of course the quarter left several imprints on the back of another card. Filed an issue, don't even care about the refund for the other card at this point but "contacting" doesn't get his attention apparently.

Cards will still come up by set, just the search box doesn't work.

It would be nice to be able to pay for box shipping with credit; if you have some available.

That doesn't appear to be possible as far as I can tell.
