The photo variation thing is disappointing, but they've been diminished for a few years now. I loved them when there was a theme to them like the pointing/hand sign thing. They were my main PC, and I had probably 1000 or so that I started to unload over the past year. I think I've got less than five 2022 photo variations, and none of the Golden Mirrors.

I liked the short prints when they were of guys playing baseball. On the red carpet or playing golf was so dumb imo

Actually makes the base cards more appealing. Way too many parallels. I'll put together my usual S1,S2,S3(update) cubs team set.

They ruined the fun of chasing image variations for me last year, I guess it makes sense to just take the idea round back and finish it off. Disappointing but maybe this will parlay into more interest in stadium club variations. The Easter parallels are silly and unnecessary, the Halloween ones are already forgotten.

I’ll stick to fathers day/black/gold singles for my pc

They should just make a separate Topps flagship for kids at this point.

At least getting rid of the SP/SSP/SSSP system saves me money.

Not pictured: my full set of 2022 SPs (only a few of those are slabbed).

Pictured: my full set of 2022 SSP/SSSPs, all PSA, handful of 8s but the rest 9 or 10. A handful of extras at the back right.

Who really cares until we see the design....that's what really matters....if the design is good, people will buy it, if the design is ugly, they won't....

In 2016 I went for a super rainbow of Lindor’s second year cards. 40 cards to cover all variations down to the /5. In 2021 I did the same for José Ramirez, and it was up to 80 or so. In 2023 I started in on Steven Kwan but gave up quickly - it’s now waaaaaaay over 100. And they just added another bunch for 2024. Just crazy.

Don’t see any thing about black border parallels /73. Maybe a black bordered base set for the first time since I believe 2007.

I hope not, blacks are my favorite parallel.

I hope it is because they are only in jumbo or hobby.

Hobby box parallels have yet to be announced. Blacks and Clears /10 are both hobby box exclusives.

Has Topps explained why no base design has been released? This has to be in production if it is to be released before spring training, makes no sense. If this isn’t released per usual in late January or February Fanatics will look real stupid.

They already did those in Opening Day last year. Luck of the Irish variations.

I'm definitely in the minority on this one but I love the holiday-themed parallels. Much better IMO than adding another color. At least there is some creativity. I really liked the Halloween ones and will happily look forward to snagging rabbit parallels on the cheap.

I don't mind the holiday theme, but just make it a retail exclusive standalone set, like the Christmas set.

I personally would take the manufactured patch card over 3 parallel cards that I'm never going to collect the entire set of.

I think being blaster exclusive is good enough. The manufactured relics were just as cheesy as these parallels.
