A confident person would have posted a picture

Other than the traditional, "get your triceps stronger" anyone ever experience this/find anything to overcome it?
May not pertain to you at all, but when people switch from dumbbells to barbells, they tend to have a closer grip on the barbell. I would just say make sure you widen your grip on the bench. This way it will get more chest engagement and your triceps will not wear out as fast.

If your grip is already wide, just add three more protein shakes to your daily meal plan and you will be fine.

Arms & Shoulders

The hardest part is restarting the diet. I really miss that 20s metabolism.

Was talking with some students after class yesterday and they asked where I lifted.

So that was a nice ego boost.

nice. my kids are more “yo mr wiper looks like he would whoop somebody’s a**”

feels like every other week i’m increasing bench max by 5lbs, squats a little more. my uncle told me to try to squat as much weight as i thought i could do 20 reps, where the last few are tough.

did 195lbs earlier, after 18 i had to take a breath, but i’m sure i could have done 210-215, i just didn’t know where to start.

been 5 days a week lifting for all of 2023, it’s fun to see my weight/reps go up over time

Chest and Back.

I still owe Joobs a triceps pic. Maybe it will lift his spirits after a rough weekend.

Working my way back up.

5x365 deadlift felt nice and smooth, especially for a nerd.

With 275 on bench, 400+ on deadlift, and 300+ on squat, I’m going to shoot for the 1,000-pound club on January 1st.

Barring injury.

Upper back felt too tight to do much at the upper end, so I mainly focused on endurance and form with my deadlifts today:

10 x 225
10 x 225
5 x 315
5 x 365
1 x 405
5 x 315
10 x 225
10 x 225
