I want to like this, I'm a big Kevin Smith fan, but I can't justify the price. I might pick up a few parallels down the road.

I opened 2 boxes, 1 had a blue and yellow, the other just a yellow. I will say these are the best damn GPK cards in hand that I've felt since I got back into collecting last year. Nice, thick cardstock. |

![]() (I'll add a picture shortly.) I got 29 different of the regular 40 base stickers, and was missing just Jay Mewes and TS from "Mallrats" to get at least one of each of the 20 designs as base cards, but I did get Jay in Green and the TS in Yellow, so I'll go ahead and stop there.

Thanks!
Here's the numbered color: ![]() Loved Rosario Dawson in "Clerks II". She lit up the screen. Definitely lucky to get a 1/1, but this product, counting the plates, has 200 of them, so 1 in every 50 boxes or so, if indeed 10k boxes made. Tough, sure, but not impossible as with most 1/1s...

Wow - thanks for the heads up here. Just ordered 8 boxes. I couldn’t quite pull the trigger earlier this year at the $50 price point, but 25 bucks is a steal! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

8 boxes for me and did not pull anything particularly noteworthy. Best hit was probably a Silent Bob yellow parallel /100. Pulled a few red /25, too. Received ten #d cards out of eight boxes, with two boxes having two numbers hits.
I was able to put together two complete sets and most of a green parallel set (one per pack) so that was nice. But it’s definitely plates or purple 1/1 if you’re looking to hit in this release. The cards are nice though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I passed even at half off. The set needed autographs and sketches. Who cares about serial numbered cards? Until Covid, I was lucky if I could get $2-3 for a Fools Gold parallel numbered to 50. GPK collectors never seemed to care about them. Then the market became flooded with "investors" and suddenly numbered parallels are a big deal. They'll go back to being meaningless eventually, I'm sure.
The one annoying thing is that artist autos, which I do collect, used to be easy to find in the $5 range, $10 tops, and now they're an expensive insert. I also miss the fact that Wacky Packages and GPK were $10 retail blasters before Covid. Last edited by Rictor; 12-08-2023 at 02:19 PM. |

I mean the hit in the Collectors boxes are more than likely the autos, and they cost $40 more than the hobby boxes, the hit should be worth something. Why would anyone spend $80-90 on them if the valuable item from them is only worth $5? Anyway aside from pop culture related cards/Adam/Nick, autos don't go for a whole lot anyway. You can barely get $20 for the random Vacation autos. |

I don't know why anyone would open any product at current prices. I didn't even open any product at Black Friday prices this year. Why do people open Star Wars boxes when you have a 99.9% chance to get a $3 auto of a character you've never heard of? Why do they open sports when your box hit is likely going to be a common rookie that will probably never see play? Opening retail is almost always a losing game, but gamblers get addicted like the lottery. Look at Epack, people race to spend $10-20/pack for cards that they can't sell for $1-2. The instant gratification makes gambling even more fun. Then when they hit a $100 card, they brag about it but don't mention the fact that they hit nothing on the $2,000 worth of packs they opened before that one. |
