The coaches draft once we get to the 10U group. All somebody had to do was go into the system and type the first letter of the team name and it would have automatically filled the name in.

Just found out that a 13 year old girl that had played in our sports programs for years took her life last night. I'm crushed mentally at this point. Such a sweet kid, always so nice, smiling, laughing, great athlete. I am seriously done today. I can't get my mind back on work at all.

The thing is, I was feeling something last night so I made a social media post that said.

"Look for the good in everybody. Don't be afraid to take a chance on somebody.

At the end of the day, you never know what battle somebody is going through.

You could be the person that helps them win that battle."

I'm just tore up over it man. My friend that does volleyball had her in her volleyball program for years as well. It has hit us both hard. I'm just trying to keep my mind busy right now. I'm still sitting at the office really doing nothing, but I don't feel like going home.

The hardest thing is trying to console the people most affected by it. I had a girlfriend in the early 80’s whose brother committed suicide and no matter what I tried she was never the same. I thought she was the girl I was going to marry but life happens.

So our offer letter is in. Now we wait. The home owner is on travel and may not make a decision until tomorrow. No other offers yet, but someone else did look at the house this evening.

The current owner goes to settlement on a new home outside the state January 15th. Our realtor put our settlement down for January 12th. I hope it doesn't get pushed back until the 15th. If it needs to go back, I'd rather have it on the 19th since that's a Friday and we could get into the house somewhat that weekend and my Son start a new school on a Monday. Hopefully, we find out tomorrow if our offer was accepted.

My wife got the job over at Dahlgren. The bad thing is it's a $25,000 pay drop. The hiring manager didn't even offer what he claimed he thought he could give her which would have been another $5,000.

She is debating on taking it, but leaning towards doing it so at least someone will be in the immediate area if our Son gets sick at school. Plus, she gets rid of the crappy Prime Team Lead she works with now and the long commute.

My wife got sick and tired of teachers not doing anything about my Son's situation at school, so she actually filled out the bullying form online and put down what's been going on. The Vice Principal and 7th Grade Counselor talked to my Son and he told them and had to write down everything that had been going on and the primary kid doing it. They brought it a witness (another kid who's been around for the racist comments aimed at my Son) and he verified it, but then went back and told the kid. Now he said he's going to beat my Son up tomorrow.

My wife told him to tell his homeroom teacher that he needs to see the Vice Principal 1st thing to pass this on before something happens.

The Vice Principal is supposed to talk to this kid and call his parents.

The amount of money I've having to put on a credit card to get this house ready for sale and Christmas gifts as well as what I have to borrow from my 401K and savings accounts to pay for the down payment and to make up for the VA loan overage is going to eat up any profit from selling this house. It sucks because we were going to use that extra money to buy some new furniture, pay professional movers, and get a replacement diamond for my wife's engagement ring.

That is horrible. I don't know how most kids make it anymore. I'm trying everyday to support my Son and talk to him so he doesn't hate African Americans or want to take his own life or something worse.

It's hard enough for me as a grown man, I couldnt imagine trying to navigate the last few years as a kid.

That is so true, my son is older but I have made more of an effort to know about him every day. If I notice he is going through emotional distress I make sure I find out what’s wrong before he goes to sleep.
