There is no reason any coach should ever say he is staying to coach a bowl game at a school he is leaving. And is Indiana really a step up from James Madison? I mean conference wise it is, but do you really have a shot at being anything but a homecoming opponent? Looking at 2024, I count maybe 2 wins on that schedule.

he walked into that situation

he may be good at the off field, non-game time stuff, but his in game coaching is not that great. clock management, tempo changes at the wrong time. that is the stuff that is noticeable while watching. that other stuff, his staff handles well and takes care of.

that part i will give you. but would you rather be top 20 at a "lesser" place, or barely top 100 at a nicer place.

indiana is below uvwho in almost every ranking.

Came back from vacation, they ran basketball evaluations last week, but nobody got rosters set, put the jersey order together, got practice gyms cleaned and ready, or scheduled any practices.
