I had the same issue. I ordered a bunch of cards, then the ones that were really good deals got cancelled. Apparently when sellers bulk upload their inventory, it messes up parallels. It was disappointing to spend a lot of time and then get a refund for everything that I actually wanted.

There's also no way I can see to contact a seller to verify the card is really what's advertised. At least on Sportlots you can do that.

They were having website issues last night... it took me several tries to get cards to "stick" in the cart and I finally had to sign up and make sure I stayed logged in. Their customer service was very responsive at least.

As for the one seller, I don't know what to think. Related to the website issue? Seller's remorse, bad inventory control? The cards are all unrelated so it's not like a set disappeared or something. He offered to send me the 2 cards he does have as freebies for the mistake so I'm not out anything... guess that's more than I can ask for.
I've found it is very much like Sportlots in that case. I would run into issues with sellers not having the inventory, erratic shipping, etc.

I know for me when I first started selling on BSC, it was like throw stuff up and see how it goes so I would forget things sold on other sites. Now that I'm all in on the site, everything is much better organized.

I think it comes down to finding sellers that you like/trust (like anywhere) based on shipping, products, prices and of course reliability.

The issue isn't that the bulk upload itself messes up parallels, it's that people aren't careful. The bulk upload requires you to select the insert/parallel before entering your inventory and then shows you pics (if loaded) and what the SN is out of for the given parallel; people just don't know what they have or don't pay attention.

Indeed, I don't see a way to message the seller ahead of the sale.

I put in a request to add an option for sellers to be able to download a CSV of inventory with price, condition, quantity, and date loaded for inventory management purposes. Searching through your inventory is easy if you know what you're looking for, but I've had a couple instances where I had to reconcile inventory to make sure I wasn't advertising something already sold on another platform where an exportable list would have come in handy.

Customer service confirmed there's no way to contact the seller directly before a sale, but he did offer to pass messages along to sellers if there's a card you want to inquire about.

The shipments are rolling in, so far it's overall fine for the prices I've been getting, though one seller's stuff showed up in a little less condition than I'd have liked and had a card missing.

Still having issues with the site logging me in / keeping me logged in.

There are a few more cards I'll grab when I have more time.

God to hear, Longhorn. I think the site definitely has potential, that's why I've stopped selling elsewhere and only using them (other than a couple hundred cards on EBay). Will be interesting to see how long they can go without seller fees though

Thanks for the update on messaging.

I've had similar login issues from my phone and one of my PCs. It's some kind of cache issue. On the PC, I can get around it by reloading with cleared cache (Ctrl+F5) when first logging in. On the phone, I just use Incognito mode, but I'm only using that for quick inventory updates; it's possible you may still lose part of your cart or something if you had an extended shopping session in Incognito mode.

Had an order arrive today where the seller listed two of the cards as SN hobby base RCs but was actually selling non-numbered retail base. Only paid a quarter a pop, so no big deal, but sellers really do need to be careful.

You have to watch their serial numbers too. They had one card as being numbered to 7 when it should have been 75.

Haven't seen an announcement yet, but seller dashboard is showing a December pay-per-listing promotion, same rates as the October promotion.

I haven't listed on there for awhile, but it might be the time to do so. I have a ton of stuff that would work on this site or Sportlots. I just hate doing it. I might have to bite the bullet though. Adding some inventory and getting paid for it sounds pretty nice. Not a huge help, but if I have the stuff sorted it should be good.

I'm a super casual seller, just list in my spare time. In October, I made $10 from the promotion, plus made 2 sales for $32 (60 cards). I imagine folks that list high volume on SportLots could do pretty well with this.

When I do a search (like the image I have shown below) the grade should be listed on that view so i don't have to click on cards that are not in the grade I want.

I just tried to use the "report a problem" button and "other feedback" option to see if they'll get the seller to confirm a parallel is correctly identified. We'll see if that's a valid process.

Son of Gamera, you left off the bottom portion of that Christmas promotion which is very important. It says that the inventory has to be live for 75% of December to qualify which, as i read it, means that you really only have until December 7th to get your items listed and live to qualify to be paid for listing cards on the site.

Here is the portion you left out (and the sentence about the 75% has errors):

The important sentence says: You must your their inventory "Live" for 75% of December to qualify.

That's referring to the Inventory Live status on the account. In other words, you don't get credit if you're in vacation mode for the whole month. Agreed that it's poorly worded.

Update on this... customer service never heard back from the seller after a couple of days, assumes the card was mislabeled and is going to move it to the correct parallel name or whatever.

Don't know if this was the right or wrong thing to do. At least the site was willing to help since they don't provide a way to contact sellers directly.

When looking at my own inventory it would be nice if after I filtered by year I could filter by grade too.

You should email their customer service with the improvement ideas. Their intro videos have big talk about in-house programming, they want to make their site the best, other sites are decades behind, etc. They should be able to take suggestions and make improvements easily.

Not them, don't have their ear more than anybody else, though I have submitted several feature requests. Some have been added (stuff that I'm sure I wasn't the only one asking for), some they've indicated were already on the roadmap or would be provided to dev team for consideration, one was declined.

Support mentioned to me on an exchange RE: a feature request that they watch this thread for feedback, so perhaps they've already seen your ask.

Before I purchase it, I thought I would ask here first. Is the BSC standard envelope anything like eBay's standard envelope? It looks like a 2oz BSC standard envelope costs $1.05 where eBay's is only $0.84, but besides the 20%+ higher price than eBay I'm more curious if it is tracked somehow? Thanks

Edited to add: Nevermind, I found this in the FAQ.

We understand that when you’re shipping sports trading cards, postage can impact your profits. That’s why we created the BSC standard envelope service. It’s the low-cost shipping label that comes with integrated, limited tracking and shipping protection.

Standard envelope is better than a simple stamp; sellers will receive tracking for $0.80 (1oz), $1.05 (2oz) or $1.30 (3oz). It also saves you up to 75% compared to USPS First Class Package Service.

Tracking is automatically uploaded to the transaction when you print the label. Simply drop your envelope off at any USPS location, blue mailbox in town, or even your home mailbox (flag up!). From there, you and your buyer can track the shipment on BSC.

A plain, number 10 envelope works just fine, but it’s not required. You can use any envelope that fits the following specifications:

No smaller than 3.5” x 5”
No larger than 6.125” x 11.5”
No heavier than 3 oz.
No plastic, strings or closures
Recipient address is parallel to envelope’s longest side.
Uniform thickness not greater than .25”

They use "LetterTrack" software/service. It seems to be a little better than the eBay one, though I have one I purchased that has no tracking since the 12th. I question whether the seller even shipped it.

Edit: Just a little more info. The website it takes you to is called ParcelsApp and then in the details it says it's LetterTrack tracking. I'd post a link but it has my address and the seller's address shown.

Sorry for the double post... looked back at my order history... other than the one I mentioned above, all the LetterTrack shipments have a reliable scan history though it is limited. Origin Sort, Destination Sort, Post Office, and Delivered.
Sellers are not required to use it or provide tracking. I had one PWE with no tracking, and one that says USPS Bubble Mailer and no tracking provided.
