I mean I don’t care what your lawyer or PR person is telling you. If you’re asked in public what he’s being accused of and all you can say is “no comment” that’s a pretty clear admission of guilt. He had every chance to say “it’s not true” if it actually was not true.

She could be of age in some states and others not. I read she was from California, which has an age of consent of 18. Oklahoma is 16, but it’s still not going to be a great look if a 21 year old pro athlete is banging a 16 year old high school student.

If it was black and white in terms of legality, sure but this is not. If she’s from California but the “encounters” happened in Oklahoma it may be legal. I’m sure the state by state laws on that are very complex

Can't see how anyone would think this story was completely fabricated. Those risque thumbnails circulating through twitter were legit. There's no possible way this thing gets settled immediately. This is a potential criminal case that will involve authorities.

From all accounts I'm seeing, she is indeed a high schooler. Which in and of itself is a terrible look, regardless if she happened to be legal in the particular state they were in.

We also don't know if she'll be cooperative with any investigations, especially since she's so young and hush money/fear could be involved. Though captioning a story with 'I just f*cked Josh Giddey' with you both shirtless seems to be a fairly credible admission, imo.

There's a very good reason why lawyer's and PR people tell them to say that. There's a reason why Miranda rights say "anything you say can be used against you in a court of law". Once you get inside a courtroom you're not in the real world anymore, you're in the world of lawyers. They will absolutely twist your words to get to the verdict they want.

It's not dumb if every lawyer in the world is telling their clients to do it. It's for a reason. I totally get where you're coming from, but you assume that every prosecutor in the world is a moral, honorable person. You can claim your innocent and they can craft an argument that makes you look guilty and then use your statement as a means to make you look even guiltier. "This man has no conscience. Look how he lies!" Obviously, that's not how lawyer's talk, but you get what I'm saying.
