Just seems like people aren't spending money right now even with the 5% rebate.

I've really only moved like 50 low end cards 0-$1

going to bump my discount to 65% and see what happens

I've bought about 100 cards today, mainly lowend PC stuff. Hoping more sales are ran later into the week.

That's typically what happens every time I have a COMC sale. The really cheap stuff moves very well along with some sub $3 cards while the good stuff that has broader demand on an average day mostly sits. I just had one reseller buy about 100 cards at 20 cents each but most of those were from the 30 cent submission days six years ago. That pushes my average promotion price down to 77 cents.

My favorite sales are people trying to re-sell cards that haven't moved in years. I wonder sometimes if people look at the card upload number when trying to flip.

Since I try and slang cards on there now too, I can appreciate trying to get what you can out of what you have/what you picked up to flip. This year seems worse than others as far as asking prices go, though.

I've nabbed what I consider to be 4 or 5 fair deals, nothing earth shattering. On the bright side, people have listed some cool cards today. I was able to grab a few, but the guys who refresh on there are legit ninjas at their jobs.

I have sold 84 cards in the first day for just a touch over $300. Now two of those cards were close to $200 of it, but I am making some progress. I know that my discount is a bit higher than I would usually start with too, so that might be why mine are moving. That or I actually have decent deals. Could be a combination. I think that in the past I would have moved more cards at the discount I am sitting at. I have not bought anything yet, but we will see.

I've sold 59 cards for $98ish total. I usually sell 14-15 cards per day for $7-8 so the sale has been great. Of course I've bought 350+ cards lol for about $170ish. A little dissapointed that some aren't running sales but I've had some suprising luck making offers.
All-in-all it's been fun!

I'm up to 55 sales totaling $451 for the promotion. I usually average around $150 a day in sales, so I am happy with the sales so far.

Since it is a pretty long sales event at 7+ days, a lot of buyers are probably in no rush to buy unless it is a really good deal. And some are probably waiting to see what discounts happen on Monday.

I am about where I expected to be after Day 1. I did spend a good bit of time yesterday dropping prices on items $10 and above since I haven’t had much time to really clean up port and knew that some needed repricing. I plan to continue that process over next couple of days. About 10% of total asking price dropped off.

The pleasant surprise was a couple of eBay sales last night with new price. I will consider offers on some of my items that are only running at 10% discount.

* My sales are about as expected. ~$180 in the first 24 hrs. Mostly some $5 stuff, surprisingly little 10-25 which is a sweet spot for me. Someone got a great deal on a PSA 10 pop 1 DeAaron Fox Galactic.

* Really, really appreciate all the promos! The combo of a) discount on elite and select processing, b) the grading and d2g sub discounts and c) the auction fee waiver is just amazing. This will really help me clear out football and other old inventory and cycle in a bunch of hot fresh baseball inventory just in time for Opening Day.

* My first D2G from the August submission promo started to trickle back. FEATURE REQUEST: Send me an email when graded cards land in my inventory! Should be super low LOE, probably can reuse existing inventory add email code.

Anything less than a 60-70% gem rate, which is TBH my floor through my usual group subber, would be disappointing and likely discouraged further D2G from me.

How many cards are y'all adding the eBay auctions now that they are 75 cents per until the end of the year? I will probably add like 10 per day until then.

Crap. I didn't see that. Thanks for posting. Maybe next Tuesday I'll unwind anything that's priced close to $20 and up.

Just did 50+ and I wish I'd known this was coming as I have another 60~ currently in live auctions. After the first week of live auctions(and prices getting hammered for various reasons...), I wish I'd have waited and ran them all on regular eBay.

The $0.75 puts a dent in it for me. Was fun otherwise to gamble on purchases.

$400 in sales with no real discount in pricing.
Spend around $100 only so far.

Built up $6k credit to spend, whoops.

Was it free before to submit an item for auction? Can't remember.

All cards in your inventory are eligible to list at auction (Not just Elite!)
No minimum Auction Fee (regularly $3.50 minimum)
$35 maximum Auction Fee
No auction listing fee for Elite Items, and only $0.75 listing fee for everything else
The $3.50 minimum auction fee still applies to items shipped to our eBay Auction Consignment Service

It's ordinarily an extra $2 to convert a standard item to Elite. This saves a ton of money on the front end and a chunk on the back end, making auctioning cheaper stuff much more cost effective. I'll likely blow that shat out once the Cyber Monday sale closes.

For some reason I thought it was but last one they ran around the holidays had a $0.50 fee for non-elite.

Dude! You can cash out. I think it's only 10%. 5+k for Christmas might come in handy.

Thank you for spelling it out, but I just want to make super sure I am reading this right. If I take a basic Standard card that I paid .50/.35 submission fee that already lives at COMC and put it up on eBay. They only charge me an additinal .75 total in fees? Is there another 5%? NO 3.50?!

So, I submit one Standard card that lives at COMC it is only .75 in fees?
Let's say it sells for $10 - COMC only charges me .75? I make 9.25? Is that right?

Thanks for all the help!

I could be wrong but I think there is still a 3.5% fee on the sale value with a maximum fee of $35.

Yep, 3.5% fee and the 75 cents is only if the item is not already Elite.

So $10 elite item nets you $9.65.
$10 standard item nets you $8.90.

That's my understanding, just not a minimum $3.50 kick in the pants should something underperform at the hammer. I've had a few of those.

I love all the promos that COMC is running right now. I have really enjoyed the Black Friday promotion so far both buying and selling.

How do the start/end dates for auction items work? I assume there is no way to adjust them. Is it based on which day you submit the card or is it completely random?

I am a little nervous to run auctions, but I've read this thread long enough to know they can be worth it. If a player gets hot while your auction is up. Or just to sometimes get more visibility on your items beyond the standard BIN/BO listing or running a sale on COMC where the sale price isn't shown to eBay buyers.

My port has gotten a little too big to manage this year (nice problem to have, I'm not complaining) so I am trying to clear out inventory older than 18 months and auctions might be a fun way of doing that.
