I gave him the benefit of the doubt because it’s probably not a great move to publicly diss the dude that could make your family back in Russia disappear.

Its not that he isn't speaking out against the war, its that he is more or less actively supporting Putin.

The exact quote from a CBC article: "And Ovie, each time, has told them, 'If I do both of those, I really feel like that is a sign back home that I am speaking out against Putin. And I feel like my family is in danger.'" Maybe he’s lying. Maybe he isn’t. |

Considering what 99% of US politicians are enthusiastically funding/supporting right now, the virtue signaling against Russia is dumb and falls very flat these days. Yawn.

That goalie interference call in that Bruins game was a joke, can the NHL get any softer.

It was only a matter of time but I thought they might keep him for the time being, or until their next loss at least.

I found it VERY surprising they'd quit on a coach 13 games into a season after previously taking them to the WCF. 100% McDavid/Drai and Jeff Jackson wanted to go a different way. I doubt Holland had much of a say in this.

Love that the league is making us play two 'home' games in Sweden and the Leafs get to play 2 'away' games. Smfh

This is what happens when former player agents become team presidents. Holland will be next (more deserving since he put this mess together and signed Campbell and Nurse to anchor contracts) when the Oiler's woes continue. https://www.msn.com/en-ca/sports/nhl...371dd72b2&ei=9 |

When did pulling your goalie down 2+ goals become so common? Perfect example tonight, Panthers are up 4-3 on Sharks they pull goalie, ok, Panthers score go up 5-3, some time goes by and they pull goalie again with about a min left. I never see it work down 2 with 1:30 or less left but have seen it multiple times, it also feels the better teams who could possibly pull off those comebacks with an extra man don't do it so it's just weird to me.

Live bet Vegas last night when down 1-0 in 1st to Caps thinking +165 was great value for a comeback and they ended up getting shutout, giving up 2 ENGs late. Smfh.
For a team that looked like a lottery candidate early with such an aging squad, the Caps have played extremely well. Is Carbury an early Jack Adams candidate if they keep this pace up? |

I'd argue his assist earlier was even better than the goal too.

Leafs/Red Wings would of had a better script argument than the NFL if that had gone to OT, the two Swedish games both go to OT and the two Swedish guys who take the puck-drop both score goals? lol thanks to Tavares, if Nylander/Raymond scored the winner you'd still have a pretty good argument lol Sweden definitely got some good games though both ended up being exciting

Just watched the ducks highlights against FLA, educate me if I'm wrong, how the heck was that Anaheim goal NOT a goal? Does the entire puck have to cross the line (which it looked like it did).

That one was a complete mystery. I assume that since it was ruled.bo.goal they went with the "definitive proof" argument, rather then physics. The Ducks play so hard - it's refreshing to watch. And McTavish's game reminds me a bit of Rick Tocchet albeit from the center position.

NHL is such a joke.
Toronto awards Vancouver a goal after a review that wasn't nearly as clear as last night in Anaheim. Ducks were crap for two periods, but if JT Miller gets that goal, Silfverberg deserved his. |

They called it No goal and there wasn't conclusive evidence that it went all the way across the line. Had they called it a goal then I could see them saying it was still a goal after the review..it was that close. Luckily it didn't matter anyways since they gave up 4 goals and lost.
