I was not a fan of those inserts either, but at least chair and t-shirt merchandise die-cuts have a thematic connection to wrestling. I'm not sure what taxi cabs and ice cream bars and leopard print that looks like lingerie has to do with wrestling, let alone with each other to comprise a unified set. It's just a little too random and over-the-top silly for my personal taste. That said, some of the parallels do look really nice, I'll admit, and the 1/1 Golden Treasures will justifiably be some of the most desirable cards yet for most of these wrestlers.

Alright, opened my two boxes. It was a fun break. The cards are really nice. QC looks really good. No issues with any of the cards. I hit an auto which was nice. Not a big name, but one I like because I really like The Butcher & The Blade, but it seems like they probably will be leaving soon as The Bunny is no longer there and she is the wife of The Blade.

Thanks for posting your hits, Gurds. It does look like a fun break, and the Color Flows look really nice - a very collectible insert set imo.

I am familiar with the Punk ice cream anecdote, but it never would have occurred to me to associate that with the impetus for the ice cream bar-themed insert set in this product. If true, that is playing some severe inside baseball.

Very cool. In hockey there was an unannounced insert called 16-bit or something like that. I'm guessing they did the same in this and that is a printing plate from one of the cards in the set. Nice hit!

Nice hits! Love the Color Flow Luchasaurus and nice Blade auto. The parallels give me a bit of 2014 Prizm crossed with cracked ice/atomic, which isn't exactly my cup of tea:

Unannounced Easter Egg/Case hit that was first introduced in last year's Allure Hockey (1:810 packs) like Gurds said. Upper Deck is known to do things like this with cards not on the checklist such as the Connor Bedard Easter Egg they put in hockey Series 1. I'd compare it to the new "Micro Mosaic" cards in Mosaic football (actually weird to me how closely these debuted to each other). In hockey those go for big money or did at first release, the print plate is pretty cool and has it's niche but it's almost a shame it isn't a normal one as being one of the first on the market with these and it being Britt Baker would of probably sold high.

Cards look really nice, may give in and eventually rip a box since they are so cheap and given it's chrome will probably be like three retail blasters which have never been loaded for the hockey version. Also given AEW's release schedule and WWE's issues may be the only wrestling set for abit and CM Punk/Jade Cargill autos for awhile. I do wish Upper Deck did their numbering better, they always take the cool parallels and number them too high de-valuing them, the AEW logos are sick but /299 but a purple diamond is /10

Two printing plates of the 16-bit pulled on this board right after release that's pretty crazy. Even crazier how I've noticed companies go with an "all-or-nothing" approach lol the auto or printing plate would both be huge hits on their own so lets put them in the same box and someone else prob got zero autos and their best hit a Powerhouse Hobbs /10 or something. That auto is a beauty and I see the Britt printing plate went for $300 so if moving Jade you probably could keep Punk and still have enough for a few more boxes or vice versa, eitherway that's prob one of the best boxes you'll see on here, especially factoring autos aren't even a guarantee

Random note: Kenny is one of my top 3 wrestlers of all time and I have been super disappointed by how so many of his cards look and how bad they are at capturing his essence.

Kenny's photo here kinda looks like a candid shot of when somebody finds out that nobody bought buns for a beach BBQ.

Congrats, amazing boxes, even if Allure isn't the most popular set I think something will be said for the first official AEW chrome cards (to my knowledge). Even in baseball some completely ignore flagship and only care about when chrome releases

Which begs the question, how many wrestling collectors know that Allure is on chrome stock?

Not me prior to this thread as I was just barely aware that of the existence of Marvel Allure from trying to find out info about some other non-sports sets on that BO forum.
