Ripped my two cases yesterday.

Best hits were Bob Ross SSP, Ohtani Red /5, Gunnar Happy Mistakes, and a Bob Ross “game-used” paint brush relic. Guess that one was unannounced.

There are rumblings that Topps used a 2010 image of Tony Gwynn, Jr. instead of Tony Gwynn, Sr. in the Bob Ross set.

It's technically not a mistake. Card only says "Tony Gwynn" on the front and back so they could have used an image of either father or son.

Yeah, this is some of the best looking stuff this year but sticker autos on painting/canvas style is gross. Just have no autos.

It's disappointing but to be expected from a late season release. There's no way this would go out with autos, especially at the asking MSRP.
The real "debate" is would you prefer a sticker auto or redemption card fulfilled later by a guaranteed on-card auto?

Topps redemption system is far from perfect (it's definitely not Panini), but I'll take redemption on-card auto ALL DAY over pulling an immediate sticker auto. This is easy choice for me because many of my recent hits have been in-pack damaged. I've also had redemption autos come back as sticker autos, which is infuriating IMO.

These are nice cards.. did 4 boxes, hit a Peraza auto.. 2 freeman's /50, /75, frank thomas /99, soto /35

no major rookies tho except a Volpe insert

I happily would take a redemption and the waiting time if the auto was On-card.

Got two Happy Little boxes today. Oddly, another pair that shipped at the same time is taking its time and going the scenic route. Easel parallels were Moreno (I like him) and Carlos Rodon (blech). As a Braves fan I loved the numbered parallels as they go straight to the PC with both a Chipper Jones and Albies /99. I also got a nice Nolan Ryan insert and a Nick Pratto auto /75. It's an auto so I guess I should be happy, but meh. I did decent with the rookies with Volpe, Greene, and Walker along with a few others. I'm hoping the rest of my boxes (two lite and one collector's) have few doubles so I can put together a set easily enough. Overall, I like the cards a lot and am looking forward to the rest getting here. I was tempted to sell the collector's box but unless prices jump substantially will rip it and be happy.
