Opened my lone box
Jeter gold and Harris refractor. Past that, not much. Very rarely I open boxes that cost $200, but the itch got to me. |

My “hits” were Acuna refractor, Clemens gold rare Sp and someone else unexciting.
Also hit a buxton silver uncommon with a blank box where uncommon should be Anyone else seen this? Just a common error or something better? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Thought that there were more hits in past year's boxes. I was making the observation that all the silvers and golds were perfectly centered. But the bronzes were off centered left to right or up and down. I was wondering if others thought so or I was just an isolated case. For example, my Corbin Carroll is off-center left to right and my Josh Jung is off left to right and up and down. I'd be lucky to get a PSA 7 on that. Can I really return those? I thought it was just hits and redemptions you could send back to Topps. |

On the other hand, I receieved some living set cards with no borders on one side and started an exchange a year ago and no movement on that so ... up to you on risking it. |

But as bub838 posted above, it'll be in fairly high demand for Big Unit collectors as it's an auto /5 AND a special buyback in this product. I also think Randy Johnson's gonna be one of those guys whose value rises in the future. He kind of checks all the boxes (dominant, counting numbers, awards, memorable, bird incident, ASG Kruk incident) with the added bonus of having two under-the-radar RC's that are fairly iconic for junk wax cards: 1989 UD by virtue of being in that set & 1989 Fleer for the Marlboro stuff. I think he's the single most underrated pitcher from a Hobby perspective. I imagine a lot of younger folks going to his BRef page and having their minds blown. |

Like clockwork… box 2 of my case yielded zero refractors. An extra Gold but zero refractors: Gold Posey, Mookie, Oswald Peraza.

It's a different product but I believe (IIRC) I sold a 2022 Brooklyn Collection Randy Johnson /75 auto for $100 on eBay (relative to other 2022 Brooklyn Collection autos I sold, it was on the higher end).

As a collector who has built a PC that was exclusively football for about 3 decades now, I can confirm the above. With all the great designs over the years, the higher end sets and rarer limited stuff like this coming to the market - I have been adding cards of my favorites from growing up. Maddux, Griffey Jr. and have been keeping an eye out for a Randy Johnson auto to add, eventually, too. Stuff has 'crashed' back down far enough that I'm not really concerned with much more, if any, dip in some of this mid range stuff. It's getting put away for years since I do just enjoy having autos of guys like this that were just so remarkably exceptional at what they did.

As to The Big Unit... Fun fact for the younger BO crowd - Randy Johnson from age 35-38 -4 consectuive NL CYAs -averaged a touch over 20W, 350K per season with an average ERA sub 2.50 This was during a 1999-2002 run that will definitely not be remembered as an offensively challenged stretch. |

Used my $50 Montgomery credit to purchase Mike Schmidt in a 6 case tier one break and lucked out with 2 on card autos. Probably better than I would have done buying an “exclusive” product.

I've been a MC 582 member from the start. I've never received any type of credit. Thanks in advance for your reply. |
