Just got my box and was happy enough with it. It was loaded with rookies (72 of them).
Hits:
6 Silver- Morel, O'Hoppe, Scherzer, Machado, Oswaldo Cabrera,Liberatore
2 Gold- Jackie Robinson, Anthony Volpe
1 Gold Refractor- Mariano Rivera

I'd be much happier with this box at $150, but love this set enough with this design that I'm still happy I busted a box.

FF was the one product I decided to leave some money behind for while I got rid of the most of the rest of my collection....but I'm on the fence about this one. I love they're trying to remain faithful to the original '96 set, but what gives with this base checklist? Doubling up on some players, and 83 RC logo cards in the first 175 cards? They didn't make a very compelling set to build.

I think I'm just gonna take the money and build the original '96 set. They finally broke me, this is my final test.

Same. I’ve contacted Fanatics about it, let’s see what they do. Pretty idiotic of them to give out codes that are sequential, hopefully those who abused it get their orders canceled or charged the remaining $50.

Seeing on Twitter another case break without an auto. I guess I was fortunate. Does not look like there is any auto guarantees in the description. That really sucks.

Yeah, this looks like my break but better Golds. As usual, I believe Topps sent me the absolute worst box in the product.

Not trying to get into a one-downsman-ship fight here but your Yoshida is an RC.

I just realized that my jeter and your jackson are SPs. Wonder if that's worth anything.

Last year I bought my one Monty box and then when sales opened up bought another 2 within a half hour of opening. I was careful not to exceed the family limit of 3. The extra boxes got cancelled and Topps never could explain to me why they were cancelled other than they had the right to cancel them. Really bummed me out.
This year made the conscious decision just to buy my one Monty box. Glad I did. Got all the major rookies in bronze borders plus a Johnny Bench /100 auto. Unbelievable that there was not one duplicate. No short prints, just 2 gold framed "rare" cards. Devers refractor.
But the biggest issue was quality control. All the bronze frames were off center. Gold and silver were more centered. Did anyone else have the same issues?

Mmmm, hitting a Bench auto is a huge win dude, I would be a lot more happy than you appear to be.

To what degree? I had various levels of centering, some pretty bad. Got a pic?

Topps promises PSA 8 or better centering so if one margin is more than twice the size of the other margin, you can do a return on the whole box with packaging I think.

I would take the Bench and consider myself very lucky but you are free to your own opinion.

If it's any consolation, remind yourself that you could have gotten Wander Franco as your gold and only one common refractor of someone like Carlos Rodon or something. The floor on breaks of this set is so astonishingly low that I'd be inclined to argue that a gold Yoshida and a silver refractor is a relatively decent break considering how utterly miserable this stuff can be.

I'll gladly one-downsmanship fight you!

I'd trade that Yoshida RC Gold for that J-Rod non-RC Gold, I believe.
I don't like Jeter but he's an unquestionably better pull than Bo.
And you two refractors appear to be Machado Silver and deGrom (two probable HOFers) while mine were Cedric Mullins and Willson Contreras (who will need to buy tickets like the rest of us).

All that said... These were two pretty horrific boxes in a thread of dudes posting their bangers.
