I see now, it's too bad those two can't stay healthy. It would be fun to see what they could do in at least one inning of playoff baseball

Yes he did, but all-time and active, it's actually Altuve over both.

That post was made during the game when I was hyped for him. That said, hopefully he can eventually pass Springer and Altuve.

Tough day for the Astros, he got another one but can't do it himself. Gotta have a couple guys heat up

Default Yordan Alvarez

A nice write-up about Yordan’s intelligence as a hitter.

And an interesting headline…

Wow, a well thought-out piece covering Yordan's hitting prowess. A nice surprise.

Hes got 9 career postseason HRs. Record is 29. You got to like his chances.

I could watch Yordan HR highlights forever. Such a smooth, beautiful swing with such explosive contact. Probably my favorite swing ever.

I dunno if any swing will ever top Griffey's for me but Yordan is definitely up there. Everytime he makes contact it looks like it's gonna hit the moon

Yordan's swing is definitely up there. Not quite Griffey-like, but strong.

The most "effortless" swing I can recall is Pujols. No bat-wrap, just a slight recoil and explode.

Great read. Verducci has always been one of the best and he's good on TV.

Griffey's swing was definitely smoother and prettier. Yordan's swing is just an impossible combination of smooth and violent that I don't think we've ever seen.

I know I'm speaking a decade from now but with the Dodgers down 2 with the bases loaded, they pinch hit for Rojas.....I'd take a 36 year old DH in Yordan all day, every day in that scenario. Just a thought that crossed my mind when watching the game today.

Acuna… when I see him swing, I feel sorry for the ball… it is just scary

Very fun looking at all these great swings! Here's what it is for me with Yordan being my favorite. He is so big and long, and extends his lead arm 100% at the perfect moment of contact. Those long levers and incredible ability to square the ball up result in huge power without looking like he's muscling the ball at all. Easy power.

How he wasn't #1 on that postseason players list, I'll never know.
