Instead, though the SI article came through for me in that regard, it left me with another unresolved question when it reported that Bauer never had to pay anything to his accuser - but she got $300,000 from her insurance company. So now I’m left wondering - what kind of insurance policy was that?

It's like a Bonus Bet on on a table game like Let It Ride, "Punched below the belt by a Major Leaguer" pays out at 300,000:1. Looks like she only put down a $1 chip.

Bauer was accused by multiple women of similar behavior. Yeah, the San Diego accuser might be messed up in the head and not credible. But MLB suspended Bauer for violating the domestic violence and sexual assault policy and an independent arbitrator upheld it. MLB and the arbitrator had access to more information and evidence than we do, including reported video evidence.

It's just a sleight of a hand by Bauer to have you focus on the one accuser, while ignoring the other ones. He wants you to feel sympathetic towards him. He wants you to think he was a victim of cancel culture; that it was all just a big misunderstanding.

That said, he served his time and is allowed to continue his career. If an MLB team thinks he could help them win games, who am I to say otherwise?

Your other statements were largely speculation but your take here is likely entirely false.

No attorney in their right mind is going to let him talk about the other potential incidents that could still result in a civil suit.

I made this argument in the original threads and of course like my other arguments, I was bashed for it. But I’m not wrong.

I don’t know, I haven’t really kept up with this story closely, but if we want to help stop women from falsely accusing men off this stuff we need to start charging them with whatever the man would have gotten had the allegations been true. Why? The real problem is the vast majority of the time when a woman makes a false accusation there aren’t any consequences. So until then, I’m going with innocent until proven guilty. Especially with the garbage media jumping to the same conclusion every time (man guilty until proven innocent).

Well that as well, I'm just talking about for woman people making false accusations just hurt the people with real story's. It's a mess for both sides

Are you referring to Bobby Cox or Marcel Ozuna?

Ozuna's charges were dropped after he completed a few requirements set forth by the court...community service, anger management and a DV course.

Bobby Cox had charges dropped after he and his wife claimed it all to be a misunderstanding, including the seemingly countless previous instances she told officers upon his arrest where she displayed evidence of abuse.

I’m aware of this. The fact is neither was convicted.

Accused. I wonder how many people with $51 million get accused of things all the time? I watched Bauer's video on X talking about his side and posting screenshots of all her texts to her friends. Seems like a premeditated extortion scam to me. As he said he's never been arrested or convicted of any crimes and all court cases are settled. Legal system played out and decided he did nothing wrong. If other accusers had any real evidence why hasn't anyone pressed chargers against him? I do think he generally comes across as a d-bag but that's not a crime

Wikipedia isn't the best source here...as Ozuna went through a pretrial process to drop the charges...not the result of some further review of the video.

And yes, his wife is an angel as well.

Regardless, you are correct that neither Ozuna nor Cox were convicted. Much like the majority of DV cases, these are tough cases to convict.

Of course, you stated "Charges were withdrawn due to lack of evidence," in some non specific instance...neither Cox nor Ozuna had charges withdrawn due to a lack of evidence.

Every single MLB team has either employed someone who’s either been convicted or accused of domestic violence. Acting like the Braves are some outlier who employ terrible people is disingenuous and reeks of jealousy.

She really should. The text message evidence is extremely damning. She set out to blackmail him from the start and likely cost him millions.

He also has a case against Manfred and MLB. There was no guilty until proven innocent and he lost 2 full seasons over this. He should sue for loss salary and damages.

I haven't really followed this that closely, but from what I can tell is the Pasadena case is settled and the woman was trying to extort Bauer.

Why isn't Bauer suing MLB for the lost season/wages? Has the players union stepped up for him? Do we think he's coming back to the MLB?

I read there's other woman with allegations, are those credible and is he fighting them off?
