It might also help if people who were married described their own relationship and their expectations along with answering.

I know there are plenty of folks who either hardly see their spouses or even view the relationship more like business partnership. They're obviously going to have different takes than people who see their relationship as built on the depth and exclusivity both partners share.

Then there's my good buddy and his wife. They were both best friends with the same guy in high school and now that they have kids, they alternate years where one of them will fly out to spend a week with the guy and hang out. They're happy.

At work absolutely.

Outside of work there are many variables. Being Sober/drug free increases the chances of just being friends by 90%.

Just curious.

For the people who say it's okay to have a friend as a female, have you ever been just talking to a girl you just met and with in the first couple of minutes they drop the "I have a boyfriend/husband comment?" when the conversation was no where near sexual?

It's not just guys who think this way.

- Have you been divorced?
- Have you been cheated on?
- What's your race and socio-economic level?

I feel like that would be more useful than splitting everything into a cuck/incel binary.

I'm white/republican/played sports all my life/not into music/plays video games

We both met as RA's in college (so yeah I dated a coworker technically).

Have been dating for about a year. Neither of us have cheated and we were both "friendly" with coworkers of the opposite gender.

We've recently both graduated. (Her as Pre-Vet, me as Accounting & Finance)

So we share practically nothing in common.
