I still buy a couple boxes of Heritage and the Stadium Club products every year. And I also bought a box of Cosmic Chrome this year.

One box Topps Series 1, risk/reward ratio has gotten a bit out of whack

My last purchase was a Montgomery Club one in 2022. I believe Topps stated certain members couldn't renew if you had more than one account per household. Apparently , they did us a favor. I just buy singles and may dabble in a group break or two

Last purchase was 1 box 2022 Bowman near release date - not 1 box since - I am a huge Bowman fan, but the prices have pushed me out of wax

Last one I bought to rip was 2018 BD. Last to flip was 2022 Sapphire Update. Can’t imagine there is more than 1-2 products a year I would even contemplate under Fanatics.

I think the last hobby box I bought was in 2011, just went the singles route with an occasional blaster. Havent bought a blaster since 2018

Out of the major sports baseball is actually the only sport that has some products that are reasonably priced. Stadium Club, Stadium Club Chrome, Update were all reasonably priced all things considering. Last product i opened was two jumbos of 2023 Topps Chrome. In football and basketball though? I havent opened a hobby box since before the pandemic in 2019

I pre-ordered a case of TC Platinum and liked it so much i ordered another thru topps.com which was even better than the first! Just busted a case of GPK sapphire i had sitting in the closet for the last year and did surprisingly well expecting it to royally suck!

In general my wax busting has become quite a bit more focused than in the past where i used to dabble in a bit of everything, there just aren't many products worth (personally) breaking at this time

Same for me and it was the week of release, but I didn't preorder.

I preordered a hobby box of 2022 Topps Chrome from BO and the whole 2022 TC fiasco left a bad taste in my mouth.

Box of A&G.

Is this some sort of shaming thread?

No it’s either an intervention thread, a confessional thread, or gamblers anonymous.

I, too, have sinned father. I opened a box of 2023 bowman jumbos in the last month.

2022 Topps Series One Jumbo.

Will likely never buy a hobby box again under the current Fanatics structure.

I preordered some 2023 Pro Debut for me and my boy to open

Other than that, I think it’s just been a blaster here and there. Hobby pricing is insane and a waste 95% of the time

Obviously small sample size, but looks like the majority isn't buying much if any. Breakers buying all of it? How many of you all are entering breaks?

Got my brother a couple of boxes of Topps Chrome Anniversary - nice-looking cards and fun to open even if the value is poor.

Who opens high end and “premium” chrome products?

Primarily breakers, they will guide market demand and prices.

Every few months I will buy one. Got a disappointing Topps chrome hobby box recently and an ok Bowman Chrome hobby box. I might go in for another Bowman box.
