Went to QA1 yesterday.

Approaching 1 calendar month past the 65 business day mark of July 31st. PSA has had it for 4 calendar months total.

That is a long long wait! Sometimes I don't get it, it seems like submissions with more cards go faster than submission with less cards. I have a one card submission on Regular service and was in Grading for 9 business days and then 1 day in Assembly and now it is in QA1. If its 1 card shouldn't the QA process be faster? How can you be the market leader on card grading but have slower turnaround times than a smaller company?

Imagine checkout lines at your local supermarket. There are cash lines, lines for credit card, lines for 10 items or less. With PSA, they have 1-2 lines for vintage, 5 lines for modern and 10 lines for ultra modern (number of lines are made up to illustrate that there are different "lines" for each type of cards). The vintage line is super slow as it takes more time to determine whether something is a 3 or a 6...and if you have multiple orders of 50 vintage cards ahead of you, you are stuck...even though you've got only 1 card. Same goes for dual service cards in terms of slowness like vintage (card grade plus auto grade/authentication). The ultra modern orders go a lot quicker because the new stuff is much easier to grade in terms of what is a 6 with surface issues or a 9 or 10. The tracking times shared here just gives a general estimate. There was an 105 card 90s special order above that was made up of 2018 update/update chrome. That order took less than a month to go from Research to Shipped because those cards are much easier to grade than a vintage card...as well has more available graders to grade ultra modern stuff. There is no way to know if there is a 50-500 card order ahead of your small order either...so the timing shared here aren't precise.

There is definitely a major slow down, even for group subs. Had one shipped 7/13 and entered 8/9, but it moved to grading yesterday. I am not getting too excited by that because on has been in grading for 31 business days.

Anyone else having a fairly long delay between the orders being marked as shipped and then the actual shipping taking place? I’ve had multiple orders marked shipped but I haven’t actually seen them ship yet and I’m working on two weeks with that situation.
