Did it ever come out how many of these 2018 Topps Chrome Ohtani Red Autos were made? This one ends tonight and am wondering if there are more than 10?

Too many similarities in bidding patterns from the first run that never got paid for. The 369 feedback bidder bid 24K first time, but this time only 20k which just happens to match to the penny what the top bidder was. Clearly inviting a bid for 20.1K. The top bidder was also 56 feeback on Jul-31 and the one that ended today, top guy with same bidding pattern is now 63 feedback - possibly the same top bidder as last time. It's not proof, but it's enough for me to be convinced something isn't right.

With Shohei prices softening a bit and people sobering up, 20K is a tough sell.

Just saw a BC end at the low 1k mark. What a ride..things are definitely slowing.

US1 Batting SSP for 3.6K as well. Though Heritage ROA for 10.2K is pretty strong.

Very nice Ohtani Golds! Many of mine were graded around the same time cert 42+ also. FOMO can only last so long. Great time to be a Ohtani collectors!

Sports Investor Guy did a video about why he traded his Rookie Ohtani auto and it is just comical. Essentially said that his value is somewhat dependent on what he does in the postseason. If we're talking about football and basketball that can be true... But guys like him need to realize that baseball collectors are just smarter. We value the talent and individual, not how many dingers he can hit in the ALCS.

While Ohtani's pitching numbers are not as good as last year's and he's had some durability issues, he's quietly (if that's possible) ranked in the top 5 in ERA/WHIP/BAA/SO. If he pitches well down the stretch, not out of the question he could lead the AL in all the above categories (SO will be tough though).

I've been mostly collecting base/commons, here is what I have so far:

Is there anything else glaringly missing here that I should try to own? I'm only looking to spend max $20 per card. I have the HFA and National card day RC tucked away somewhere, then I have the rest of the Bowman Platinum, some Stadium, some ASG, and pajama party ones I wanted from COMC, but that's it.

Some of the ones off my list are Topps Now, A&G and Heritage, though some of them are on wishlists if/when they get to fire sale prices.

For under $20, no Ohtani collection is complete without the 2020 Stadium Club chrome insert (this is different than the Stadium Club Chrome base card #ThanksTopps)
