I think this was a big part of it. You can't really consider a product released in April 2023 to be a 2021 product can you? It looks like Beckett agreed too, they don't have any of the cards in 2021 Bowman Heritage listed as RCs. Even players like Kelenic who were "supposed to be" rookies in 2021 and had the logo. No RCs in the whole set.

5. Companies and governing bodies do not tell collectors what rookie cards are
6. The Rookie Card Definition doesn't care about your feelings

Seeing a lot of reaction to this, isn't that pretty obvious that it would be that field that investigates this? Either way it does sound like people in the know are insinuating it is as bad or even worse than it appears.
