I saw two FOTL boxes ripped. Panini has done the ABSOLUTE UNFORGIVABLE to completely trash this product beyond repair. What did they do? They got rid of ALL, let me repeat, ALL on card autographs.

In 2019 almost ALL were on card autos, starting in 2020 that was reduced to mainly top RPS rookies having on card autos but at least across 4 or 5 subsets. Now let me introduce you to IMMACULATE football with ALL STICKER autos. Seriously I could cry as a die hard college collector. This is so so bad even by Panini standards. You have GOT to be kidding me.

Sorry for the rant but holy sh!t wow
Thanks

Just watched some YT breaks after reading about all stickers. Travesty. Bowl patches with stickers. I won't buy any now.

Not ALL sticker autos are bad. There are many products that for years have only had sticker autos and so you expect to see that.

But Immaculate Collegiate? HELL to the NO as a teenager might say

i am not saying it would be the end-all solution for stickers, but, this is what i would like to see done with them, if they are going to use them, especially in high end product with thick cards. since these cards are basically glued together stacks of cardstock, place the sticker underneath the top layer in a window like the jersey is and have the top layer with the picture overlap the sticker enough so you do not see the edges of the sticker. it might at least give the card a classier look and not just a sticker slapped on the card

Good idea so there’s zero chance they do it.

Think up a bad idea. That’s up their alley.

It can look really good:

2010 Topps Finest - Rookie Patch Autographs.

Or it doesn't even have to be a sticker. It could be a piece of plastic/acetate:

2015 Panini Clear Vision - Rookie Clear Vision Signatures

In football, I collect almost exclusively college and primarily UGA players.

I lived in Athens, GA for the first 24 years of my life and went to school (twice!) at UGA. I have great memories of players like Gordon Beckham, Josh Fields, Matthew Stafford, Aaron Murray, Todd Gurley, Nick Chubb, Sony Michel… I still go to a lot of UGA football and baseball games and am incredibly active on the UGASports forums

Much more attachment for me

I bought a case of Bowman Chrome U back in February before the craze for that started and ripped another half a case a few months later. But Panini is done in my book with collegiate. I will miss Prizm Draft Picks baseball as I loved collecting 1/1s of UGA guys

All Panini Georgia players have air brushed logos anyway -- like the Leaf garbage

Panini did the sticker travesty on the Immaculate Collegiate basketball this past year as well. It completely ruins the best part about these immaculate collegiate products. The three years previous was almost entirely on card for the rookies. Vets were still sticker in most cases but who cares, the products are about rookies.

I’ll never buy Immaculate collegiate products again (and I opened quite a bit) unless they go back to on card

Yep… won’t spend a penny on them now

At least Topps is way more affordable for pure collectors… is it wrong to think it’s because their name isn’t “Panini” or “Prizm?”

Seeing single card prices on Ebay and idiots bidding them up is pretty sad

i told some people on facebook, i will say it here. i have not looked at immaculate as a whole, just Tennessee cards, and it is shameful that beyond sticker autos, the fabric they are using is not only not game worn, but they are not even using real Nike replica jerseys. they are just using some cheap orange and white homemade junk and people are paying WAYYYY too much for it. i am pretty familiar with Tennessee jerseys and the patches look nothing like what is on jerseys. panini dropped the ball on this one and i think they are just doing the bare minimum to get by with what they have to do by contract. I am really interested to see what fanatics does when they start doing jersey cards

Agree - these suckers paying those prices are either just greedy, idle rich or stupid

That makes me wonder what “authentic memorabilia” even means. Travis Etienne has helmet stickers in 2021 Immaculate where they use purple tiger paws. Clemson specifically does not license purple paws, so I have no clue where those could even come from to be “authentic”

I got a JK Dobbins helmet sticker card a few years ago from Immaculate, it was a 125 year anniversary sticker. He was not on the team that year (Sophomore in high school). Turns out there is a helmet sticker pack sold online and that is likely what Panini bought to use on the cards, I'm sure they have them for most teams.

I remember you posting that. Bryan Bresee has a Plates and Patches 1/1 jersey from Chronicles with a Cotton Bowl patch. We last played in that when he was a Jr in high school. I figured those were at least truly licensed gear (unlike some of the Aliexpress jerseys Leaf has used) but maybe they just buy the cheapest thing off ebay

I was at the 2014 (and maybe 2018) National and there was a seller there that had a patches from every Bowl game you could think of at that time for like $3 a piece. I bet those are easy to get also. Just sad what they've done to this product. I always liked it way better than NT Collegiate also.

Side note, I hit a Bresee Green /5 from Select Draft if you're interested. No fake patches on that lol

I guess it doesnt matter about stickers or fake patches - prices on the Vols Immaculate cards are sky high and morons are bidding them up with no chance of winning unless they are a sniper

Similarly, I find your response perplexing, and you have repeated this before elsewhere. Yes, this IS Blowout. A card forum where people can express their opinions or ask questions - kind of the primary function of a forum, yes?

What's the harm in saying you don't see the appeal of something? Packman80 is interested in a) Football b) cards and c) wonders about college football cards in a college football card thread.

The answers to him from members seemed pretty good, as well.
