Default 2024 National - Cleveland Hotels

Just booked my hotel for the 2024 National. Anyone else already do the same? I noticed a lot of the hotels were already booked for that week, so if it's something you are planning, perhaps don't sleep on it too long.

This will be my first one in Cleveland. Pretty excited to visit as well as make a stop at the Rock N' Roll HOF.

I just booked and can cancel up to a week in advance. Last time I was in Cleveland for the National, I did a trip to Canton for the NFL HOF and had a blast. Might do it again. I am driving in from Washington DC.

Are you guys getting good rates?
I saw on the NSCC site:
Discounted group room rates for Cleveland 2024 will be available mid to late October 2023.

Hampton Inn Cleveland-Westlake, $432.57 total price for three nights and with free breakfast. My budget is in the $150 per night range so this will work. 10 miles to the IX center so an easy drive.

Just did mine as well at $618 for all four nights. This is my first legit trip in 10 years to another state. I think the last trip I took was to the Hall of Fame in Cooperstown for Ozzie smiths introduction.

I normally like to stay at a nice, close spot but Cleveland doesn’t have that so la Quinta with free breakfast for $620/4 nights will have to do.

I started looking over a week ago and many of the closer hotels have everything blocked out from mid-July, onward. I emailed one of them and inquired when those days may be opened up and the GM replied "sometime in January". Not playing that game. Not sure if that's them holding rooms for all the dealers/corporate,etc. Thinking they'd all be gone by then, anyhow. Just booked elsewhere.

See ya' in Cleveland.

I'm waiting for them to be available on the National housing website. See what the rates are and what they are offering. Plus I like that I can book for the week without a deposit and can cancel it if plans change.

I would wait to see the special rates. Any early bookings under the NSCC blocks were only for dealers. There will be plenty of rooms when the blocks are open for everyone else but you have to book as soon as the link goes live.

The NSCC rates are worth waiting for but most hotels don't need a deposit anyway.

A lot of places dont require a deposit and can cancel without penalty up to the day of reservation.

I’ve done this for 4 years in a row. Book early, shop around, switch up etc.

I tried to book the day we left Middleburg Heights after stopping there on the way back from Chicago and you weren't able to book. A week later, I was able to book the same hotel I always do for next year.

Yeah it might be smart to book a room now and then if you can get a better deal in October through the NSCC site, then you can cancel the first reservation.

We are staying at the La Quinta. Stayed there a billion times when it was the Marriott

The Puritas station is right there so made it super easy for Browns game. My Dad is from Fairview Park so I’ve known the area forever. I still park at 150th for some games depending on how crowded I think downtown will be. It’s a 20 minute train ride to Tower City

It’s less than 5 miles to the IX center

Can someone explain what parking is like at the IX center? Never been to Cleveland. Just booked my hotel, the Hampton Inn North Olmstead Airport. Looks like about a 15 minute drive but am curious where you park. Is there a parking garage like in Chicago?

Plenty of parking

That’s why the IX center exists

There is a massive slab of concrete the size of the IX center itself, on the West side of the IX center, for parking. It's a sea of vehicles, so remember how many rows back you are, and what light pole is nearby, for when you leave.

People don’t have cars with tracking? Wild

Just open the app and tap the “parking” button

There will probably be 'after shows', by then. Even more people will set up out of the trunks of their vehicles until, at least, 4 am.
