One auto per box. One of the better retail breaks in the past. Up at Dicks.

I seem to remember either 2021 or 2022 being pretty loaded relative to a retail offering. Loaded being people here reporting good hits from Mega boxes. Of course with Panini who knows what 2023 will bring but like Goldy mentioned 1 auto per box is pretty good for Panini.

Hmmmm... $50
We have already determined no Stroud or Young autos for Panini, correct? |

I pulled a couple of 2nd year Herbert Autos out of 2021 mega box. Was a pretty solid value but if Stroud, Young and Levis don't have autos it will be less appealing.

I think the only possible way these have good value is if Rookies are in pro uniforms, but that would be a break from the past.

"Featuring some of the first NFL Rookie Cards of the 2023 draft class" is how they word it. I think that tells us that they will have team names on them, but yeah there is no clarity if they will be in pro uniform. History suggests no, but isn't November also a later release for the set than normal or am I remembering wrong?

Also worth noting is the full per box on average breakdown:
"Each Mega Box delivers: 1 Autograph + 12 Rookies + 4 Inserts + 5 Hyper Parallels + 3 Numbered Parallels, on average" Three numbered parallels is a remarkably nice side benefit given that rare return of the one auto per box is here too. Not saying these are going to be lucrative, but if Panini continues with no true hobby on this, all the parallels down to the one of ones should be live in these too, no? There’s no hobby version of prestige so this is the nicest stuff for the product. Normally some pretty good names in them Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

2019 Prestige Megas were sick. $40, 2 Autos per box, a few numbered cards, Draft Day sigs were on card, base Rookies in NFL uniforms (some inserts were college gear).
I think I got 4 boxes and hit a Daniel Jones auto to /25, a Trace McSorely 1/1 plate, Stidham to /50, and a Hollywood Brown on card. |

These use to be target exclusive not any more. Printer went brrrr on this. These use to be my favorite retail release. I hit multiple 1/1 from this plus the top rc autos like joe burrow.
With a crappy auto checklist I don’t know if this any good. Use to be 2 autos and 4 # cards? |

Yes. In 2020 these were two auto and 4#. Then in 2021 it was 1 auto and 5#. Then they didn’t have it in 2022. Just the H2, which had 10# and an auto maybe every third box (although on-card). Now mega is back with one auto and 3#. Sort of OK but not like the good ol’ days. Be interesting to see if rooks are in college or pro unis. Pro unis would turn “OK” into “really good”

Thinking about this a little more, aren't these rookies going to definitely be in NFL unis given the November release window? I don't want to rule out Panini doing something weirdly crappy altogether, but by the time these drop college uniform cards will have been long gone for a while. I mean this is supposedly coming out after Mosaic even, apparently.

These have been good every year since I've been back in the hobby (2019). Easily one of my favorite products every year. Was sad about last year, but the blasters were a lot of fun last year with all the mega box hits sprinkled in.
