At what is likely to be $249 in the US it's a hard pass from me. I wouldn't pay over $149 a box for this. Even that is pushing it.

Yeah, the price point for these are insane which is not shocking. Outside of the Parkside prontos and if they do a Series 2, I am going to cut back for a while on purchasing. This summer has been insane.

I’d like to say thanks to Topps/Fanatics for making this an easy decision this morning. I feared all weekend that they would make me tempted to buy today. They did not.

Sounds like they have some kinks to workout. Who can be surprised about anything but a debacle when doing anything related to Topps & trying to order something.

In the end, the Messi / CR7 / Haaland triple auto super went for $134,400 including bp. The sellers would have been better off taking the €150k offer that was supposedly out there unless they got themselves some sort of funky payment structure from Goldin. The solo Haaland super auto going for $93k surprised me.

There's a couple on eBay, but they are vastly overpriced. Anyone on here looking to shift one?

2022-23 is disappointing.

it's 2021-22 you want, and you can find them for similar prices

i bought a handful and completed the set. got a few nice parallels to keep. they're a great value for collectors.

I’ve been waiting for the price for 2022-23 hobby to go down for a year but it’s sticking at over $200. This time last year 2021-22 was already down close to $160. From what i’ve looked at typically post world cup years have better rookie classes with Garnacho, Kolo Muani etc so lets see.

Release day is here. I’m going to call my 2 LCS and get their pricing in a bit, to potentially attempt to have some in hand today. With where I expect the price to be, I’ll probably be passing. I’m in 1 team break today and that will likely be it other than a few blasters, which are up on target now and could arrive by Friday.

Soccer cards hq has a nice review plus comparison of print runs, which I’m sure many of you have seen by now. As you can imagine, the print run is grotesque.
