It was hot in the building back in 2021 as well. Wednesday and Thursday were horrible but Friday got a little better. Not sure about Saturday as I left mid morning.
Of course, that was during the bubble and people just starting to come out after Covid. It was shoulder to shoulder and not pleasant at all.

The National just seems like it would be a miserable experience for the most part.

I just finished my day at the show, and I’ll be honest, today was brutal. The no AC, the cramping of the aisles.

Way way worse this year than in 2021.
It’s got to be in the 90s in some parts of the center. Some areas are better than others.

It seems that way through parts like lines, high prices, spotty wifi and AC, sore feet etc.

However, at the end of every day, you look at your pickups, you look at the mountain of pack wrappers on the ground, the few hits you added that day that you may not have expected to whether through an unplanned event or a wrapper redemption pack, and you get incredibly excited to wake up and do it again the next day. If you love sports or something about the hobby, there's no way you can not love the National.

ac works, it just isn't made to handle that work load of the national crowd. cheap facilities, cheap amenities

It’s clearly an older facility…anyone know when it was built?

Lol right? The A/c should be able to do its job. Sounds like a subpar venue.

It's a great weight loss plan inside at booth 949. We're sweating everything off. It's silly hot and humid and there answer is to bring in floor fans to move air around. Wow thanks

It was hot inside but the folks who are in the back corner in the green carpet area have the best spot imo. The AC was working today but there's so many people inside and the cold air isn't hitting all parts of the showroom floor the same. There is certainly an area that feels like the heat is barely on. Had the pleasure of coming across a few stinky folks too. You would think they can at least carry an extra shirt and some deodorant in that big bag that they carry on their backs all day, but nooo.

Somebody should sell water, personal hand-held fans, and deodorant. Maybe I’ll set up a table with that stuff next National.

It felt like the AC was working in the breakers area but there are more room and fewer people around it. Some areas are really cramped. The section that had Meelypops was barely walkable during

Still claim that if you want to make a bunch of more money, buy as many portable fans as possible By noon you could make a killing

I guarantee the corporate offices don’t have 8-10k people in a confined area alao.

Yea it was miserable today, by far the worst I have seen it after going to about 6 nationals. Of course it has to be one of the hottest days this summer. AC not working in the skywalk either. The only place it seemed to work was upstairs in the open conference room and hallway. And of course I had a ton of stuff to wheel in and had to park in the 2nd garage for the first time ever so the walk was twice as long. Have to go back on Sunday to pick everything up but i am hoping by then it will be better. I think we will be seeing less people then and its supposed to be 10 degrees colder. This is my first and maybe last time showing up on opening day. It was insane how packed it was in there. I ended up leaving after just 2-3 hours. Figure if I want to buy anything I can get it cheaper on Sunday anyways.

I couldn't believe how hot today got. In 21 it was much better on Thursday, and this morning started off ok, but it got worse as the day went on.

Our booth is back by Topps and was getting pretty warm after noon or so. Its weird as you got pockets of AC in some spots. It wasn't as bad as yesterday, but close. I told people that I appreciated they stood at our tables looking through boxes for sometimes hours...everyone was really very good with it all considering the heat.

It is fun, but from a financial point of view I am not sure if it makes sense as I am guessing many people are dropping hundreds or thousands of dollars to attend and I am guessing most would be better off getting whatever they are getting on Ebay, but it is fun to buy in person and look at everyone's booth
