Hotel & Luggage

Very new to the hobby but going to the national so everything is last minute!

I realize all of the hotels attached to convention center are booked - are there any significant drawbacks to simply booking a hotel 5-7 miles away and ubering to the show from there?

I will be there Wed, Thurs, & Friday - flying out Fri night. Since hotel checkout will be early on Friday before the show, any ideas where I can store my luggage while I am at the show on Friday? From Chicago I am flying to LA for a one week vacation so not traveling light, unfortunately.

If this does not bear out, your hotel’s bell desk will almost always hold your luggage for you.

Yeah you might just want to ask someone at the convention center the first day you are there, to setup your final day plan. Probably best to have it at the convention center so you don't have to backtrack to the hotel that you already checked out of.

Many hotels are able to hold your luggage until you return to check in.

Or Uber to the embassy suites across the street and store it there with the bellman. Then after you pick it up take their free airport shuttle to the airport.
