I say go get Bellinger. He's obviously figured it out again. Would be a good addition as long as it doesn't cost much.

With Judge on the horizon we got a chance to make it interesting. The key will always be staying healthy. Who knows how long it will take Bader or Stanton to end back on the DL.

Hey look, one of my suggestions to fix this organization is coming true.

So many injuries.

Gleyber Torres leaves Sunday game with hip injury

Unfortunately, because the 2023 Yankees are snake-bitten in some way, they also had to contend with some bad news. Gleyber Torres has been the hottest hitter in the lineup since the club returned from the All-Star break with a .382/.378/.617 triple slash and is one of the few reliable bats right now. But he hit his head on the infield during a play midgame on Sunday and could be seen rubbing the head and neck area afterward. When Torres’ spot in the batting order came up in the bottom of the seventh with a runner on, manager Aaron Boone pinch-hit Anthony Volpe.

About 40 minutes after Torres was removed though, the Yankees announced that he departed with “left hip tightness.”

Hopefully, that got Rizzo going. Watching him struggle has just been sad.

So does Torres potentially being out mean Peraza gets a look at 2B every day

with no Donaldson to eat up 3B, this could be his shot to get consistent ABs

This team still needs to give up on the Bauers, Greg Allen and Billy Mckinney experiment and let Pereira and Florial play every day around Bader in center. Who cares at this point if they hit .210, everyone else does

ALSO - I had no idea Bellinger was hitting .319/.369/.549/.918 this season.... 48 Ks in 68 G isn't awful either, that's a 105 K pace over 150 games...

I could see him playing more 3B and DJLM at 2B. Peraza has got a great arm so they should take advantage of that.

Belli is definitely getting traded to a playoff contender. Whether or not it's the Yanks is up in the air. I'm still not convinced that the Yankees are in a spot to be buyers yet. Sweeping the 2nd worst team in the AL does almost nothing for me. Especially because all of the games were somewhat late and close.

Peraza will get more run but he needs to start hitting.

Belli would be an incredible addition to place his LH bat in the lineup between Judge and Stanton. The Yanks are a solid team and they're 1 bat away from being the top of the league. And Belli is on a stretch of 100+ ABs that is by far the top in MLB, even over Shohei. It's hard to believe he's found his MVP form again but the stats don't lie and he looks absolutely locked in right now. Hardly swinging at anything and missing meat.

1 bat away? Not the Yankees I have watched all year.

They're 53-47 which isn't bad without Judge. Add him in with 1 more top bat and they're easily the top team.

The Yankees are tied for last place in the AL East.

Do not gaslight me into thinking that they are any better than they've been the last few years.

A healthy Cortes.

Or a healthy Rodon.

A vintage Sevy.

Clarke Schmidt, who's been like among the best half dozen pitchers in the AL the last month plus.

Or a near perfecto form German.

You really think the pitching staff can't be solid with these options/hopes?

I think the bullpen is good, but I don't trust any of them in a short series.

Yankees ain't got it this year, maybe they get hot and sneak in but I don't see a WS championship roster with this team. I certainly wouldn't buy high on bellinger. Sure he's on heater but a change of scenery probably would be a bad thing and expecting that production to easily come over is extermely naive.

Naïve, and storybook, just like his pops. Part of why we love baseball.

No thanks. We don't need another streaky, easily injured outfielder.
