Selling/Trading Advice Needed

This will be my first National and I'm a bit overwhelmed by the size. I am posting this for a bit of guidance so I'm not wasting my or others' time at the show. The numbers on the cards correlate to an Excel Spreadsheet I am taking with me that includes the last 2 eBay comps (where available) and the average of them as well as any notes/FIRM limits. Where would be the best booth(s) to start looking to deal them for either cash or trade?

I'm also trying to get rid of some Upper Deck boxes that have been sitting in a closet for far too long (90-91 NHL x15, 91 NFL x9, & 91 MLB x4). Again I'll be looking for either cash or trade. From a few videos it looks like there may be a few places who do buy some of the early UD stuff. A helping hand to point me in the proper direction(s) would be greatly appreciated!

I usually look to see if the dealer has a sign or says they are buying. Then I look to see if they have cards somewhat relative to what I have to sell and then I ask them if they are interested in looking at what I have. However, be prepared to get offers no where near comps. Also, don't take anything personally. If they say they aren't interested, I just say thanks for looking and continue on with the show.

Instead of numbering your cards, price them.

Then find a dealer with similar stuff and ask if they want to take a look.

Have a number for them all. Don’t waste time doing the math at the show.

Yes. I put them on a spreadsheet with comps average out. I'm already expecting to get only a % of that. My main thinking for not putting the average comp price on the cards is fear of undercutting myself. I'm open to trading but I've shifted more towards memorabilia collecting and would love to add on to my budget for the show.

I wouldn’t bother bringing the early 90s boxes. Not going to be worth carrying them around…even if you can find a buyer (which is going to be tough). I’m sure you will get some interest in the singles if you are willing to sell at 70-80%.

I did something similar (for cards I'm looking for) with eBay comps, but I went 5-10 out if possible and then did an average.
Also did a second "average" where I threw out the highest and lowest.

As someone shared above, I wouldn't bother with the boxes, sounds like a lot of weight to either carry or push around and there's gonna be a lot of people...

you are making it too complicated which will hurt your chances of moving them. the easier and less time consuming you make it for the dealer, the more likely you will make a deal. if

mark each card with a letter code A-F (or whatever letter you need). then in your mind have something like this.....

for "A" cards you are asking (hoping to get) $100 / "B" - $90 / "C" - $80 etc.

come up with a system that works for you. so if they hand you a pile of 10 cards (5 - A / 2 - B / 3 - C), you can simply add up $500 / $180 / $240 for a total of $920 and go from there without having to look at your spread sheet for each card.

Will dealers still want to buy cards on Saturday or Sunday?
I am bringing about 130 cards of star/rookies/top prospects of autos/rookies/low numbered parallels of baseball/basketball/football that have total comps of about $6,000 or $46 a card (ranging from $15-$600 a card).
Not sure if a dealer would offer to buy the entire lot or not.
I know the percent they will generally pay for an individual card or a handful of cards, but what % can I expect for the entire 130 card lot?
I don't do much with graded cards and the amount I have on each card is the current going rate & I did not include what people online paid for shipping or taxes, so for many of the cards, people could possibly sell them for more at a show, especially in certain areas of the country.

Sorry for the long winded question, but I wanted to explain most of the details in order to get the best feedback.

I got in touch with a LCS today and offered 60% of ebay comps (averaging 2 prices when available when available). I'll take them to Chicago but I'd much rather sell at that price to build a rapport locally. Today was my first time in the shop and I was very happy with a win-win Jordan patch trade.
