Interesting. I'd be more upset about the Kirk drop than the Agnew fumble but I suppose it's easier to blame the refs than to consider your players made mistakes.

Hope we see lots of TLaw vs Patty in the future.

Not sure if any of you guys have been watching quarterback, but a couple observations after five episodes as far

1. Interestingly, you don’t hear from Bieniemy at all. Only Nagy and Reid. I believe Mahomes got to choose what was included in the footage, so I’m sure that is no mistake.

2. I wish they didn’t show footage of him cussing so much, as I wanted to show this to my boys. I probably still will…

3. Britney seems a lot less crazy than I was expecting.

4. He says big dawg and bruh too much.

5. His workout routine is quite unique. I’m guessing every kid is going to watch this and be looking to completely change their workouts now.

6. Man, he makes so many incredible plays…. Awesome to hear the commentary and reactions as they are happening.

7. Kirk cousins and Marcus Mariota are two of the most boring people they could’ve put on the show. With that being said, they seem like great guys that are not self-absorbed at all (which is refreshing)

I stayed up until 3:00 AM and binged the whole thing the other night

I enjoyed it. It was a good peak behind the curtain, but also pretty carefully curated. I agree about the swearing, but also feel like that is "reality" which I appreciated. But yeah, I wanted my kids to watch it but probably won't because of that, at least for now.

Agree about Cousins and Mariota. The one thing that struck me about Cousins is he is obviously just so incredibly nice. When you watch him next to Mahomes you think, there's just no way Cousins will win a SB. He's just too nice. His "gosh darn its" just do not carry the same competitive edge as Mahomes' "You messed with the wrong mother F'er."

Cousins second guesses himself a lot. He's always looking for affirmation from his coaches like, "did I do it right?" Mahomes knows exactly what he did wrong and then just fixes it.

Biggest thing I picked up from watching this is that Mahomes football IQ is off the charts. Insane. Like, there was no comparison between him and the other two in terms of his acumen. And like you said, his desire to be healthy and his workout routine will keep him great for a long long time.

I literally watched this and thought he's going to win at least 2-3 more SBs and have all of the records. Buying Mahomes right now is like buying Lebron in 2013. Easiest buy and hold there is.

Only a few episodes in but enjoying it so far.

My wife said the same thing about how boring Cousins is. She's like, he makes millions of dollars and lives like this and shops at Target? But his wife seems pretty religious so maybe she keeps him that way or they're a good fit for each other.

Yes, they are both devout Christians. I have no problems with him shopping at Target. Seems like a great guy, and clearly an amazing dad who loves his kids (there's some great scenes toward the end). And man does he take punishment during the year. That dude took some massive hits.

Yeah I have gained so much respect for Mahomes, stayed neutral on Cousins, and lost some respect for Mariota.

I have only watched 1 episode so far, just gotta find the time. What I watched though, I loved. And I agree with #3. She gets a bad rap. There was a YouTube video by GQ on "How well do the couples know each other" and they had good chemistry. She's loyal and worships the ground he walks on...what more could a guy want?

Also, anyone know if there will be a Season 2 of Quarterback? If so, they will probably have to start shooting this upcoming season. I'd like to see Burrow, Allen, and Hurts.

Soooooo I had no idea that Mahomes hasn't signed any cards after 2020.

Any auto you see on a card after 2020 is either: a sticker sign from before, in person signed or white box special.

You think he's done signing for the forgeable future?

It's hard to say. He doesn't need the money, that's for sure.

I have a redemption outstanding, but am too worried that if I ask for a replacement I'll wind up with a Kenny Pickett or Desmond Riddler auto in it's place.

Ya, I was honestly shocked. Someone on FB said that this morning. I assumed it was false until I looked on eBay. I never really thought to look at autos after 2017, but sure enough....2020 and later....are basically zero.

I'd probably have to turn it off if he was a robot like Cousins and Mariota.

Not to get too off topic, but what are people's qualms with swearing? I use profanity as often as most people use "umm" or "uh", I find it helps weed out the type of people I wouldn't want to be around with the bonus of having people underestimate you. I can't imagine wanting to be around someone who was truly offended by my choice of words.

The whole Mahomes card auto marketplace is interesting.

He doesn't have a ton of post rookie year autos, but every time I decide to go buy something like a Star Swatch or Immaculate auto, I'm reminded that he has so many nice rookie year autos that are still somewhat affordable.

It also helps having an NT RPA that I don't feel too much of a need to chase many more.

Just was a bad look to me that once they decided it was Ridder's job, he seemed to shy away from the organization and help a rookie do better for the team. Thats at least the way I perceived it, and yes I know he was getting healthy from an injury

Kind of surprised they didn't do a G rated version without the swearing like they did for Last Dance. Seemed like that was popular. I don't have kids so I prefer seeing what was actually said but I can see both sides.

Still have one episode to go, but my respect for Mahomes went up 100%.

The preparation, drive to be the best, and toughness is remarkable. The ankle injury and immediately wanting to be back in is what you want to see.

Andy Reid also did a great job in handling it, and protecting the player from worse injury until the x ray was confirmed.

This show is a better pump than even the SB win. I have no Mahomes of note, but congrats to those who do, you have a great one!

Can you really have too many Patty autos is the real question?

I got through the whole show. Such an incredible difference in the attitude and mindset of a Patrick Mahomes versus a Kirk cousins. Kirk seems like the nicest guy in the world, I can’t imagine watching that show as a player and feeling like he is the guy that will get you to the promised land…

As a Vikings fan I can say that I gained a lot of respect and appreciation for Kirk after watching Quarterback but I agree - doesn't seem like the guy to lead a team to a championship. It never looked like he was having fun on the field - clearly more of a "job" for him where he's trying to do his best and lead by example but it probably takes a bit more intrinsic and outward leadership to win a championship than that.

I doubt they're shopping at Target any more, after the footage was recorded LOL

Patrick Mahomes is well on his way to being a worldwide living room name. Just everything he does turns to gold. And he's a humble guy unlike MJ and Babe Ruth.

Plays golf on tv. His fans know where he lives and he doesn't care. Consumes more of the NFL off season than active MLB and NBA players not named Ohtani.

We are watching the rise of an absolute king. I really can't stand celebrity worship culture in general, but if it's got to happen to someone, I guess Mahomes is a great choice if we have a choice.
